Small differences here for me include a touch more clarity from the Rotel, and a richer, slightly broader presentation from the NAD.

On the video, the Nad sounds definitely more wide and spacious, but it's funny, I listened to both of these amplifiers in life with a B&W 606, then the Rotel seemed more interesting and honest to me

NAD is more flat, neutral, balanced so it can be percieved as boring

NAD 368 is also more powerful, and costs more than the A12. The A14 is closer in price and matches the NAD for power, so that might be the comparison.

I have a Rotel pre 1572 mk2 and a powerhouse 1080 and... B&W 603 s3. But here I vote for Nad!

I bought the C368 and love its powerful, dynamic sound. The Rotel sounds comparatively unspectacular here. But in the end it is all a matter of personal taste.

I didn't know that you're using amps with built in DACs, so we're comparing DACs, not amps. You should use a CD player or separate outboard DAC to compare all the amps to eliminate the DAC part of the equation. Otherwise, we don't know if it's the Amp or the DAC that makes one sound better than another

I think that Nad bumps up the high frecquencies by a couple of db by default. I hate it and is immediately noticeable.

Hi E Project. What do you calibrate the sound level with? White/pink noise? Or by eyeballing the dB meter app? The Rotel does seem to be set at a lower level. Keep up the great comparisons!

first, I am looking the db meter, second, Matching the sound of wave in the FCP when I edit. I don't know better way to match the sound level. If you have any tips, please let me know thanks

@@eprojectEllie I was thinking you should play some white or pink noise through the speakers and carefully measure the sound level with a dB meter from the mic position so that it is right at the 74/75 dB boundary for all scenarios being compared.

Thanks for using the KEF LS 50 Meta's as speakers - they are IMO among the best, when one wants to spot (small) differences between amp's. NAD: Nice big wide open soundscape - class D has become very good, got the D3045 myself. Rotel is not bad, just lacking a bit compared to both the Cambridge in the other video, and the NAD in this video. My listening hardware: D/A, preamp and headphoneamp: NAD D3045. Headphones: Good ol' Sennheiser 555.

I do not know what to think anout those videos,...whatever I can see very simmilar result as comparing ROTEL A-12 with cambrage here,...firstly i thought thet point down to rotel but now i am thinking that maybee it is the only amp in this price category to handle well those speaker. ,or are those spekers ....?? :), cant figure aute anything from such a videos

One thing is obvious here.... The Rotel is not being pushed at the same level that Nad is.... Nice video but you need to get the amplifiers at the same level if you want to compare them properly...I have a Nad c372 old school with massive power rating and a Rotel A12... When comparing both amps the Nad is robust but the Rotel combines robust with clean pure clarity and sound...Rotel all day...get it right on the sound levels

Unable to make ANY conclusions from a test like this. Too many variables. I have amps by both companies. Love them both. Right now, my Rotel is newer, so it has better connectivity. In general the NAD,s are warmer and the Rotel's have a little more detail. Thanks!

@@perudolux Im not an audiofool but I don’t get what makes my comment so funny. Some guitar amps have a noise gate. You can also purchase a noise gate in pedal form or a rack mount unit. I guess on a piece of audio gear a sound gate would be some form of DSP.

Wer hier ein Statement abgibt , welcher Amp besser oder schlechter ist , hat von Hifi wohl eher keine große Ahnung !! Erstmal über KZbin und dann auch noch über die Würst'chenkonservenbüchse KEF !! Wer sich hier überzeugen läßt ist selber Schuld !! NAD und Rotel sind wohl beide nicht die schlechten Marken !! Zugegeben hatte zwei Nad Verstärker C 325 und C375 , beides Top-Geräte !! Mehr Klang fürs Geld , wie bei Nad wird man kaum finden !!
