Yes. I'm not convinced the ND3 upgrades are worth paying full new-car-prices for the Miata. That said, I think any time Mazda has updated the Miata it just gets that much better. And I'll say this coming from an '22 ND2. I like it *a lot*. This is my 3rd Miata and it's the best yet. In '22 they came out with the Kinematic Posture Control which helps tame body roll slightly. To the point that despite reading and hearing all the complaints about the ND's body roll I have no complaints about it myself. I think the car is well set up as-is. And I drive it similar to how GoDrive does. Fun back roads and spirited driving but I'm not tracking my car and I find this an excellent balance for real world driving. FWIW, my car is a GT manual meaning that it comes with the Bilstein shocks, "sport tuned" factory suspension (whatever that means), and LSD plus some of the tech upgrades and a double-lined soft top (for a smidge (very smidge) better sound control. My "mods" have been installing the exact same exhaust as GoDrive (Goodwing Racing SuperStreet single time (only the axle back muffler), getting an alignment as close to the Flyin Miata / Goodwin specs as possible on stock suspension and . . . that's it. Absolutely love it! The exhaust was amazing, the alignment got rid of some slight vagueness on-center from the factory setting. Kept the car at stock ride high (obviously as it's on stock suspension) and I dig it. Plenty of travel to soak up road imperfections and I don't have to worry at all about scuffing front bumper chin on curb cuts or speed bumps or undulating, settling pavement on back roads. I can just go drive it. Anyways . . . I'm babbling. But suffice to say that the ND3's upgrades are definitely nice. It would be great having any of them. The updated infotainment screen is nice, the steering sounds awesome, the asymmetrical LSD sound trick (though I've not had an issues with mine on aggressive street driving). But I'm not sure any of them are a "must have." Particularly if you can find an ND2 for ~$10k+ lower price than a brand new '24 model. That said, someone needs to buy new Miatas so we have a good stock of used Miatas. :D

I would think about it in this way - if you can swing the note of a new ND3 (along with all of the other expenses that come with it), do it. You would be contributing to the numbers that auto manufacturers count towards keeping a car alive in their lineup. Mazda doesn’t see the used car purchases, they do see the new ones though. And, you can be fairly confident in knowing you’re getting something worthwhile. :)

Just wanted to be able to slide it around easily. Also keeps the price down I usually only get 6-8K miles on a set. Not a huge fan of how a 205 looks though. I visually miss my 245s when they're not on. 225 or 235/40 would probably be a good middle of the road size.

One is on the transmission tunnel and the second is mounted inside the rear bumpers tow mount.

Cant go wrong with any of the GWR exhausts, imo.. I have the Race version (no baffles) and it sounds EPIC.. Lot more low-end burble and only really loud on cold start (those first 10-15 seconds while the cat warms up) and at WOT.. Ideal second car (FiST is my 'daily').. I'll have to switch out the Race to something more subdued once I go full on GWR headers/midpipe..

You should try the NC steering, but I am afraid you'd stop loving your NDs 😁. It happened to a friend who drove my NC Miata, it's so much better with the hydraulic steering compared to the electrical one. We both agreed.

@@stefanrusu9487 lowering rails made the car much more comfortable on stock seats. At 6ft tall, I never felt like I could fit without them. Momo start seats are dreadful for comfort. Fits me like a glove which is great for track driving but there is very little padding and your lower back and butt go numb in about an hour.

Sounds amazing! How is it on the highway or driving around normally? Mine is a daily 3/4 of the year. Also how is that OSgiken lsd? Any clunking or chatter under normal driving conditions? Low speed turns ?

It's very tame, around town you'll hear it for sure but there's no drone, at highway speeds the wind noise is louder than the exhaust. The OS Giken made some noise for the first 10 miles and then the occasional clunk for maybe 1000miles but it's been silent since. Going on maybe 10k miles with no noise. Just be sure to use the OS Giken fluid. The Motul will cause a clunk.

@@ChrisBautista The Magnuson Moss Warranty Act says that they would have to prove that it caused the problem directly for it to void the warranty. And I can't see a single way a muffler could cause a problem. Get it, if you have a problem hound the shit out of them. It's the law. Also try multiple dealers. Most are crooked but some are not.

Changing a catback exhaust isn’t going to void a warranty. There’d have to be an issue that changing the exhaust caused. Dealerships don’t normally employ the brightest people - I had to argue with a guy at a VW dealership over the fact that my Golf has independent rear suspension while he insisted that it doesn’t…

Don't know where you live but as said above, a warranty can only be voided if it any failure/damage to the vehicle can be attributed to the modified parts/components. Never ask a clueless employee at a dealership about this, you only need to look at the law and hold the dealer to this if/when the time comes.

@@kevintran41791 honestly I just didn't like the unfinished look of the race. Also I didn't want something too loud, but the Superstreet is pretty tame so I'm sure the race would sound fantastic still.

I went through a similar thought process when getting the same exhaust a few months ago: I wanted something that woke the car up but not obnoxiously loud, didn't sound like a typical brappy import tuner exhaust (wanted something more tasteful if that makes sense), and yet did NOT have any annoying drone at all, at any speeds and particularly highway cruising speeds. Glad to say Goodwin's Superstreet single tip was perfect in this regard. The exhaust sounds better in person that I've heard on any internet videos. Great note and what often doesn't get picked up is the subtle burble and growl as you're in gear and coasting down the rev range. Anyways, it sounds great and is easy to be civilized if you're just driving chill but, holy cow, wakes up and screams when you get on it and rev the piss out of the engine. Oh, and hey, look, they still have the muffler on sale for $599.

@@johnmcguire5076 yeah it is. Install wasn't bad. The interior comes apart very easily. Drilling wasn't that bad, just get a good drill bit. I also never cut the plastic to put back back in, I just carpeted over the exposed metal. I've heard cutting the plastic to neatly fit around the bar is time consuming.
