Thanks for the video! Currently sound deadening the roof in my 05 Trailblazer. Running two Skar EVL 12s in a custom box tuned to 23hz.. you could say my roof and doors bounce out at the least!

I would have loved to see a video of you dropping the headliner and how you removed the dome lights etc.
@AnthonyJ3505 жыл бұрын
You just pull the sun visors off and unclip a few things. I'm going to wrap it in suede, add magnets to it and install an overhead console. This process will go over several videos so stay tuned!

Ceiling is one of the most ignored areas where plenty of noise comes from. They put zero deadening material.

Yup! Always wanted to do this on my 06 ECSB Sierra; never got around to it. Driving through canyons in the mountains at speed and on a windy day I could here my roof top flex and buckle.

Ya it's made a little difference even driving over bumps. The cab just seems more solid, and I havent done the spray foam yet!

I've been doing personal car audio for 35 years never run any wiring in the headliner. What would that be for like LED lights for like stars or something?

I reallly need to brace my roof but dont know how..it creates so much flex and vibration it ruins the sound of the bass. It makes the bass sound distorted but its due to the roof making so much dirty noise.. when i push with both hands up on the roof it helps tremendously. Whats a permanent fix? I had a guy add dome deadener but that didnt do much at all
@AnthonyJ3504 жыл бұрын
What kind of vehicle is it? You might have to bring the vehicle to a metal fabricator and brace it possible. Did you watch my spray foam video?
@akuma4u4 жыл бұрын
@@AnthonyJ350 i have hyundai genesis coupe with sunroof. Soooo much flex and dirty vibrational sounds from the roof. Im so disappointed in the way it has ruined the sound quality of the bass. I have not watched the spray foam video yet. I just found this vid last night.
@AnthonyJ3504 жыл бұрын
@@akuma4u Is that temporary? Are you going to sound deaden the roof to compare.
@akuma4u4 жыл бұрын
@@AnthonyJ350 unfortunately, it is temporary because i need to sometimes use my backseats for groceries or take my niece and nephews out to movies etc.. my roof was deadened lightly with some small pieces of dynamat several years ago but that did absolutely nothing. This however has eliminated 85 to 90% of flex and vibration. Im so happy with the result. All i hear now is clean and clear and deeper harder hitting bass. And its much easier to tune my amp now because i can pick up distortion easier. I just wish i could do a permanent fix. I still need to watch your other vid btw. Ive used spray foam for my trunk. Greatstuff spray foam omg that stuff is no joke. I got some on my hands and fingernails. It was stuck on for a week.
