Just to clarify, as it seems some people missed the joke, the guy playing piano was Andrew from Arcane Roots, as we thought fans would notice him walk past in the background! Sorry to those who missed that and thought we were being dicks hahahah

Awesome ! I have a crush with this band. In the vein of Dead Letter Circus, or Butterfly Effect. I didn't noticed Andrew playing piano, behind, the first time but then I recognized Curtains. The first song I heard from them. And the magic happend !

Do a slide guitar player, i think it would be cool to also incorporate buying a slide into the budget, finding the exact slide for the payer's tone. I suggest doing Duane Allman, imo the greatest slide player of all time. Duane's tone could be hard to achieve as alot of it came from the hands, but i recommend either a fender or marshall amplifier, use a 59 style pickup les paul or an sg, and for the slide use a glass coriciden bottle style slide. He used real coriciden bottles, but dunlop makes some that do the job, the derek trucks signature is basically exactly what you would need.

This is by far the best one so far. I found them around a year and a half ago and became a massive band that not many people know of. The fact that you did it and he's there playing some riffs and hanging out is incredible. Congratulations.

Having the guitarist on the show is a great idea, but maybe have them demonstrate the gear while talking about it to break up the solid blocks of conversation, usually you guys would work your way through building the sound, "this + this sounds like this" sort of thing, and let the artist tinker around to find the sound they like. Wonder what other guitarists you can get a hold of :P.

Yeah but is Rise Against is very differend band compared to Rage Against the Machine, the RAGE Against the Machine uses Telecaster but the RISE Against uses Gibson Les Paul Classic Custom with Marshall JCM 900 heads. I think you don't knows this band i suggest you listen the Savior. Is RISE Against no RAGE Against the Machine.
@2013musicman8 жыл бұрын
Wollace Menjao I know the difference. Rise Against is mainly in Eb standard while RATM is in drop D. If you want to go with vocalists, RATM uses a style of rap while Rise Against has singing that is similar to Nirvana.

John had a signature Ibanez that was the Ibanez JPM but he now used Musicman, you can either go classic John Petrucci and get an ibanez RG of some sort or Modern John Petrucci and get a Sterling Musicman JP, he uses Mesa Boogie amplifiers so if you can't afford both the guitar and a Mesa amp then a marshall DSL40 should work, and i know John uses the od Wah pedal sometimes so a standard Dunlop Cry baby will work
