@user-xw6uh3yp7g5 жыл бұрын
Wupme actually if you think about it, a lot of bands have prominent bass. I hear people say that a lot and then I think about it.. Green Day Nirvana Black Sabbath Iron Maiden Rush Aerosmith (kinda) Guns N Roses Metallica (except from AJFA) Red Hot Chilli Peppers Periphery Tool Primus Limp Bizkit The Police Mudvayne The Who Yes Cannibal Corpse The Ramones And the list just goes on... Bands with quiet bass gets a bit more difficult for me though. I mean Slipknot, I guess? Some classic rock bands. AC/DC.

I think Lemmy used power chords a lot, it's a small thing but it does add a lot to the sound. Pretty spot on tone, makes me regret selling my VMT (small version, not the Ultra/Deluxe)...

That's Interesting, He must've been a guitarist before he became a bassist. At least I don't know too many bassists that do power chords on bass.

Curtis Pea Lemmy isn't a bass player. He's a guitarist originally but had to turn to bass when the bassist for Hawkwind (I think) didn't turn up for a gig. So Lemmy was given the bass and asked to play. He played it like he thought he should, which was like guitar. From then on Lemmy became the most original bassist ever. He was and always be a legend.
@samuelaubrey4816 жыл бұрын
As curtis has said, he was a guitarist before in a band called The Rockin Vickars which toured the north of england and were quite big but they only did live work, only recorded one album. He then auditioned for Hawkwind who didnt need a guitarist, but their bassist had left and left his gear, lem picked it up and played it like a bass until he was kicked out of hawkwind for taking either speed or coke, he was left at the canadian border by the band after he was seized from a drug check, he had recently written the song Motorhead, which became Motorheads first single and their name. He then formed motorhead in england and the rest is history

he uses his own signature strat but has used les pauls, SG's Teles and ES335's but the most iconic is the strat to i'd say get the classic vibe for amps he relies on Marshalls for the meat and Fenders for the pristine cleans and he now has a dumble, so i'd say go for a Marshall Origin his pedal board is the toughest part, he has a dunlop wah which he hardly uses, an Ibanez TS808, a fuzz face, some chorus and compression for the cleans and his main secret weapon a BK Butler Tube Driver so i'd day go for his signature fuzz face, perhaps a TS Mini, an angel wing chorus and tape machine delay and the most vital pedal is either the Voodoo Labs Sparkle Drive Mod or Giggity because they will get you that violin like sound he's known for
