If you want a challenge, do Starflyer 59. On their second album, Gold, they recorded each guitar part 3 times, once with a bass tone, once with a mid tone, once with a treble tone, doubled each track, and stacked all six guitar tracks together on both guitar parts. I challenge you to recreate that sound live. The guitarist used a Gibson Les Paul Studio into a EHX Big Muff, Boss DS-1, Boss Tremolo, Boss Flanger, and a Fender '59 Bassman. Good luck. Though on the 1st album and 1st EP, Silver and She's The Queen, he used a Fender Jaguar.

Firstly I want to say that I I absolutely love this video series ! Good job guys! You have done some artists without busting and by busting the bank. Could you revisit those and do middle of the road videos? What I mean is if you have the £1500 rig where to spend next? What upgrades are worth of the money and so on? Other option is to make videos where you have more than £1500 but money is still an object. Where is the sweet spot between the best possible gear and budget gear? Could you also do ultimate living room rig without busting and by busting the bank. There is a limit how much noise you can make but it should still sound nice.

You could do a sound like Jane's Addiction. Dave Navarro is a fenomenal guitar player. Love the videos, keep up with the good and inspiring work!

I've been a huge MCR fan for going on 16 years. I'll say, their tone isn't hard to match... but what is hard, is the two styles that Ray and Frank play with work together in such a weird way, that's what gives them their sound. That said, you got damn close without busting.

They do go together so well !! One kind of odd thing about playing MCR songs though, and it's cool, but Frank, as rhythm, is actually the more prominent sound whereas Ray, as the supposed lead, is usually hidden behind Frank's octaves....which I love the sound of. So, other than the solos, I usually play Frank's part, but still some Ray because I am only one person and you still need the full sound coming through 🙂🤘
