I purchased one of these off you a couple of weeks ago and its absolutely fantastic. One thing i would say to any potential customer looking to buy one of these is that Boss's technical support is absolutely abysmal. I emailed them friday last week and got an automated email saying that i would have a responce in 24 hours. I'm a week on and not heard anything from them. I've even tweeted them on Twitter and messaged them via Facebook to see if i get any answer.. and i've had nothing. Its not the level of service you come to expect from a usually great brand.

I've just acquired one last month, and it's very powerful :) One aspect is quite confusing, though. Regarding Button Re-Assignment - if I change the function of one of the 'bank' buttons in manual mode (so i can change amp channels) it seems to prevent me from changing banks when I am back in memory mode. So it seems I'm better off to sacrifice loop 8 or 7's preset address capability in memory mode in order to retain any bank switching, at this point. What am I missing ... or is this a design limitation I've run into?

Do you know if the ES 8 is compatible with the Voodoo Labs HEX? It basically adds an additional 6 I/O for pedals and then controls them via MIDI.

When you mute to go to the tuner it sounds as if you can still hear the delay. Doesn´t the Es-8 mute the signal?

In the first video, he put the delay and reverb parallel and the delay is controlled by his volume pedal...odds are he still has his volume pedal up so the delay is still coming through the signal

I have contacted Boss and Marshall about this pedal as I have a TSL602 Amp. I understood that this could be used to switch amp channels along with setting which pedals are connected at the same time. Both have come back to say that there is no way to switch amp channels, so this looper is pretty much useless unless I want to use dirt pedals instead of my amps drive channels. £500 well spent....hmmm? Hope this helps anyone else who is thinking about this.

When you change to a new patch, you can set that specific patch to send and on or off signal to change your amp channel via control channel (doesn't use a loop). Read the manual.

+mjspeak I understand that, I did read the manual, however a TSL amp uses a really odd channel switching connector. It's not a jack, it's a connector unique to Marshall so it won't be able to connect it up.

I know I'm late but maybe RJM could help you out? It's possible they could build a unit which converts midi to whatever your amp needs to change channels
