I will say Soundcore did update the Gaming mode to finally be usable for low latency. Just tried on my Switch a couple days ago and it's working flawlessly. Shame it couldn't work out the gate but now it's great. And I both agree and disagree with the fit. There are a lot of sizes with the stock tips but none would stay in my ear; however I switched to a set of Spinfit Omni tips and that fit problem stopped. Due to the circular nozzle this time around you have a lot more flexibility with 3rd party eartips. Especially if you're one of those people with a latex or silicone allergy and need to use memory foam. You'll find something that will work.

Awesome comparison video!! Really like how you explain why one was better than the other. As with the sound preference, probably didn't have to explain too much, the frequency response graph tells the story and sound is subjective just like fit and comfort. Like the example you used to explain occlusion. As for the Atmospheric feature, are there any high rise buildings in the Netherlands, close to your location that you can use to test it out?

I've had these earbuds for about 2 weeks. My likes: I'd like the fact that I can see the charge on my earbuds from the case. I love the many sound profiles and the ear preference mode. The sound is so amazing and so loud. I love the fit and feel. I also love the app. My dislikes: I do not like the stem style. It could be I'm just not used to it, but it is difficult sometimes particularly when I'm trying to control the volume. I don't like that I have to squeeze the stem for nearly 3 seconds to activate the ANC. I actually think the microphones are pretty lousy. Compared to the Jabra 10 elite and the JBL tour pro 3 these microphones suck. I will keep these earbuds just because I love the sound quality and the many different sound profiles I can switch. Have you done a review on the JBL tour pro 3 earbuds? I know that you have them but I don't see a review on your page. Did I miss it? I have them now.

The implementation of the ANC/transparency slider is a bit opaque to me. For your frequency response graph labelled 'ANC: Max', what level was the slider set at? And where on the slider was it for the graph labelled 'ANC: Normal'? And did you measure how the frequency response changes across each step from wherever it was for 'ANC: Normal' to 'ANC: Max'? Is 'Normal' just passive isolation, or does it include active noise cancellation? And when you rate the ANC as 'S' tier, is that at Max or Normal? The 'ANC: Normal' frequency response looks pretty good, but the 'ANC: Max' frequency response is definitely not ideal. Looking forward to hearing back!
@DHRME2 ай бұрын
Max = highest level of ANC. Normal = neither ANC / transparency. In Soundcores case they turn off ANC circuitry when they move it to the middle.

6:46 Can anybody explain white noise? I've got a pair and had a strange electrical hiss noise from my left earbud. I am sure it's a defect cause the right pair was completely fine. The noise would come and go specially when anc is on or transparency is on. Later I just returned it. Although I am surprised how good and amazing it was but few issues were a deal breaker, especially from Soundcore or Anker to have such issues. I might get one after a while. But hoping it won't have any issues again.

Nice review. I'm considering the soundcore liberty 4 pro and Sony wf-1000xm5. Top 2 features for me are ANC (for low and high pitch rumble and screeches - for public transport/subway). Secondly, audio quality (using lossless sources with LDAC) for all genres, sound stage, detail... Next criteria are battery life and comfort (I'm used to using comply foam tips with IEMs). Also pocketability. Liberty case looks like a magnet for smudges and scratches and the controls on the case would be useful if there was play/pause, skip and volume control (and wireless transmission like the Bowes and Wilkins pi8 and Jabra Elite 10 & 8 gen 2). I love my Status Between ANC but want something as well with great ANC for public transport. Any suggestions appreciated.
@Triple-6Ай бұрын
Late response but it sounds like you’re looking for high performance. Those two options are very solid, with Sony’s XM5 being a little bit ahead. But I would instead look at JBL’s Tour Pro 3. Looks like DHRME is dropping a video on ‘em any day now - they made a community post about them a couple posts back. SoundGuys and 0Dibi (KZbin) have some really good reviews on ‘em with all the data pointing to some of the best you can buy right now. They were also on sale last I checked. Probably won’t last much longer.
@AndrewYouTubehandleАй бұрын
@Triple-6 thanks for the full response, much appreciated. I nearly went for the wfxm5 having been pleased with previous Sony earbuds I've had. However, the Sennheiser Momentum TW4 were heavily discounted and I decided to give them a try (easy to return). I've been really impressed by the sheer musicality of the Sennheiser TW4. I'm using using an Xperia 1vi (and iPhone) which supports aptx lossless and using lossless uncompressed music. The quality has really surprised me. It's not as much depth as the Status Between ANC, but the sense of rhythm is fantastic. The ANC has surprised me. It's not as good as the Airpods pro 2 (nor I suspect the wfxm5) but it takes the edge off external noise while maintaining the audio I'm listening to enough to make them usable in most conditions. (Works fine much of the time in the subway but not for very loud high pitch screeching, unlike the Airpods pro 2, but I can live with that for the enjoyment at other times, I just read an ebook!
@Triple-6Ай бұрын
@@AndrewKZbinhandle yea there were so many sales going on these past couple weeks and still are for some, it seems. Those MTW4 are around $250 here in the US, I think they were a bit cheaper a few weeks back but still below full price now. I personally don’t like the 2kHz-6kHz recession in those upper mids and throughout the treble. But now they have a bit of flexibility in customizing the sound with their app, so I’m not sure how much that can be changed. I actually have an unopened pair I’ve been procrastinating on selling. But other than that, they’re pretty decent. Many people like the way they sound for sure. And yea, ANC is getting so good across many earbuds now. Even lower priced options like these Liberty 4 Pro are starting to provide performance you don’t need to question. It’ll be interesting to see how the wireless earbud market develops these next couple years.
@AndrewYouTubehandleАй бұрын
@@Triple-6 it'll be interesting for sure. The Sennheiser TW4 approach some of my wired IEMs for the sort of sound profile I like. I listen to a range of genres and the TW4 are great for vocals, jazz and classical. For heavier stuff, they could do with a bit of EQ'ing though the Status Between ANC are great for those sorts of genres and their battery life is great (and unique design).
@Triple-6Ай бұрын
@@AndrewKZbinhandle for sure, I’m sure you have already, but I would mess around with that sound personalization in the app. Everywhere I’ve seen says you can make changes to the tuning that’s not possible with the relatively limited EQ. I have a feeling that could make ‘em sound even better (or closer to someone’s preference) as that 2kHz-6kHz area is really my only gripe. Their sound is excellent otherwise.

One thing not really mentioned is how they perform when calling - in terms of your own voice and how comfortable it is to make a call. because of the occlusion i find calling really uncomfortable. You can change ANC modes but only via the case which is stupid in my opinion. For this reason alone these buds are a none starter . ANC is easy now for alot of companies. Its transparency that truly separates the good and great earbuds and until soundcore improve this feature i truly think the oneplus buds pro 3 are a much much better earbud. This is similar to the 1more evo which are fantastic earbuds but again there is too much occlusion so calling is uncomfortable.
