Suicide is a horrible thing that people won't understand until they are at the point of pure distress. It sucks and it often doesn't make any sense except for the person who's pain has become so unbearable, suicide seems to be the only solution.

As fans the feelings we feel is nothing in comparison to the loss the Cornell family is experiencing. our deepest condolences in this trying time. To all that knew him personally, Thank you for sharing him with us; he had a positive impact on many, playing the soundtrack to our lives. Chris was without a doubt, one of the best voices of this generation, he will be sorely missed. May the Lord grant you peace and mercy as the shock fades and the healing process begins.

I DID NOT notice anything unusual during this show other than he was absolutely friggin amazing. He was late on lyrics but that is normal for saving ones voice. Vender does it also. But two things are hitting me hard during last nights show. #1: he made a comment about saying that people will be talking about this show tomorrow and wished that they were there and. #2: during the final song Slaves and Bulldozers he sang the refraim from In my time of dying.....meet me in the middle of the air if my wings should fail me Lord. My first concert was in 1972 for the Stones and I think that last nights show may have been my last one. So numb right now

Thanks Tim but I will be 63 years old this year and it is starting to sometimes take a toll on me, especially outdoor events in the sun. But to me after hating music in the 80's, he put my faith back into music again. Last nights show will live with me forever. Who knows, maybe another time I may attend another show. Just the way I feel. Keep on Rockin in the Free World Brothers and Sisters

I am so hurt that his life ended this way - from his lyrics - that touched us all- to the music - that grabbed us - yet all this time the pain that he tried to share with us caught up with him - i have no doubt in my mind - that he loved Vicky and his 3 children - all his family - and his fans - casual or not - to the moon and beyond - it is just a fact that some things are out of our control - i cannot even begin to try to dissect his last performance - because just watching him is enthralling - All i can say is God Rest his Soul and give peace to all affected by his passing!!
