I have been using E10s for nearly 3 years. It had been stomped on, pulled thousands of times. I have left it in the washing machine couple of times and also I swam in the sea with it a few times. if u like a bright sounding in ears u will like this. unfortunately for me the higher frequencies give me a headache. but that's just the start. the vocals (mid range) are horrible. it sounds like the vocals are two steps back compared to the rest of the sound. I got this for music and amazon prime movies. and the dialogue suffer big time. it is really far back and sounded wrong. the only thing great for me was the sound separation and a nice soundstage but the mids were a total let down. and treble is too sharp. i have since got a headphone amp to see if it can improve the mids. it still failed. i have been using sony mdr55ap for a replacement but sadly that headphone is far too bassy but destroys the soundmagic in the midrange. and treble sounds neutral.

Best electronics product review I’ve ever seen! Thank you!! I have the MA390’s... thoughts versus these? Also, with the RHA’s, I had to remove the cheap, flimsy, black mesh cover due to wax buildup blocking sound including bass making me think the driver had blown. When I did that the RHA’s sounded so much clearer! (Just hope I don’t get too much inside at this point but they were dead anyway so I took the chance). How’s the Mesh build quality on the e11c’s?

I saw some people say these are bright and that makes me a little scared. My last purchase was Sennheiser CX-300s and treble on these make some music unbearable. Especially anything with vocals, every time letter "s" comes up it sounds horrible. Also right side just won't stay in, keeps falling out of my ear. Every previous in-ear I owned had tips that made this satisfying "click" to let me know I put them in correctly and they will stay in ear, but CX-300s has none of that, you just push them in and hope they don't fall out. How did you find E11C comfort wise? I really need another budged earphone but I'm afraid to get similar problems again now.

"Silver tends to bring more detail and clarity to the sound..." That's where I checked out. Silver (like gold) is used to coat copper wire to help prevent corrosion. It doesn't do anything to improve the quality of the sound. This nimrod doesn't know what he's talking about.

Silver is actually a better conductor than copper, and if cost is no object, pure silver is excellent for audio cabling. Silver oxidises quickly, copper oxidises quickly, gold is a poorer conductor and is mainly used on connectors for corrosion resistance. Sound differences between materials are highly debated, but we think there is a difference between cables and materials.

@@mayurrathod6966 It makes little difference, as Beyerdynamic won't suddenly start making them in-house, they will continue to get them from the same factory in China. There is absolutely nothing wrong with buying Chinese products, in fact companies like Matrix Audio and Topping are making superb products for good prices. If you are really that worried, take a look at Campfire Audio who make their earphones in the USA, and Periodic Audio too.
