Hello, I was one of the special features producers for Generation Kikaida's releases, so thanks for the GK shout-out. Although, the KRV3 release was not "For Sale Only in Hawaii." If you look at the fine print on the back of the package, to this effect it says, "For Sale Only in the United States of America. Exporting of this product is prohibited." Additionally, GK's KRV3 set - as well as all of their releases - have been and are still available via their Amazon Store (as of 03.06.23). Again, thanks for putting the recommendation out there!

It’s been film in full 1080i interlace 60fps smooth right and u can rip bluray with same source to deinterlace to 1080p 60fps smooth used handbrake or topaz video a.I upscaling as well you should try it out!❤️

I've just accepted that Rider will be this hodgepog mess of releases for both video and toys and try to roll with it. I have started working on custom spine art that I can insert in to unify the releases on my shelf.

I honestly don’t mind certain releases looking off due to them being done by different companies. If only because it seems like Shout is going to do most if not all of Heisei whilst other companies seem to be handling Showa but only time will tell

Great video! This whole situation is exciting but messy. Honestly my biggest question with Rider and America currently is Shin Kamen Rider's release. Is that gonna be like a Fathom Event, limited theatrical, streaming later? They said they want all of the 50th Anniversary Projects going global and Fuuto PI+Black Sun have done that so how's this movie gonna function?

Outside of it being confirmed for release, they’ve said nothing which says to me no deal has been finalized yet. Hopefully its not given the Shin Ultraman treatment as that’s been a frustrating process

Personally, what I found most surprising about the Kuuga blu ray was that the video was in 60fps. On streaming, it was only in 24fps, which isn't a problem, but is something to note. I was expecting the show to look the same as it did on Tubi, so it was a pleasant surprise to see that the blu ray had one advantage. I hope the Ryuki blu ray is able to do this as well. I was surprised to see that Toei is licensing Kamen Rider to multiple companies, but I don't see it as a problem. Toho's been doing the same thing with the Godzilla movies since the early 2000s.

I forgot to mention the frame rate on this! It’s honestly great that its full 60 Having collected all the separate Godzilla releases over the years is probably why I’m less fazed by the way Rider is being done

On Fuuto PI, it is available on KZbin in South East Asian and other Asian territories via Muse Asia. On the Kamen Rider licensing, hopefully that the licensors will have an unofficial agreement that x company handles Heisei/Reiwa stuff, and some will handle the Showa stuff, etc. Basically, I hope Shout will get 1971-Stronger, Discotek will get Skyrider-BLACK RX, etc.

@@therussianwanderer4851 That is why I said "Shout will get 1971-Stronger". Shout already has Kamen Rider (1971), but they don't have the rights of V3 to Stronger. In an ideal scenario, they need to have those so that we can get a consistent set.

I would guess (with zero inside knowledge of course) is that since zero one was made in 2019-2020 they had more images and assets ready on hand to loan out to sentai filmworks where as Kuuga was made in 2000-2001 so it's possibly MUCH harder to get those assets. Granted Ryukis cover had a much better cover so my theory only goes so far.

I'm hoping Shout and Mill Creek get most of the Kamen Rider shows going forward opposed to Discotek. It's not that I have anything against Discotek but they don't distribute their titles in Canada unlike Shout and Mill so those of us North of the boarder are forced to import and end up paying way more than we should have to which really sucks.

@@Soundout12 It's not even really a restriction thing though. Discotek could distribute in Canada if they really wanted to. Around 10 years ago they used to distribute some of their stuff here cause I remember picking up a few of their Anime titles back then. It's just in more recent years that for whatever reason they choose not to. Obviously I'm not mad about it, I'm sure they have their reasons. I just don't understand it.

I'm not opposed to the idea of having Shout! Factory release the original along with all the Heisei/Reiwa Era shows, and then letting Disoctek do V3 through Black RX. I've also sadly heard that Kamen Rider Ryuki: Episode Final will be exclusive to the Blu-Ray and will not be on any sort of streaming. But tbh the only ones that should really be noted is Shout! Factory, Discotek and Media Blasters (which I never heard about). In all fairness that V3 DVD shouldn't count tbh

I started watching my copy of Kuuga and I gotta be honest, I'm not very impressed with the subtitles, specifically the quality control. There are multiple points throughout the show where the moniker "Unidentified Lifeform" is truncated as "UFL", instead of "ULF", there is some occasional mistiming, and there are even times where the Grongi subtitles will display despite having them off! But hey, I'll take weird QC issues over choosing to use lousy translations any day. Looking at you Mill Creek...

Man if it wasn't for the honestly bland at best presentation shout has been offering up with sentai and kamen rider I'd want to see then continue I'm with those rights. Discotek and mill creek have really blown them out of the water with steelbooks and pamphlets and.... the ability to pick up where you left off if you turn off your playthrough which I thought was standard.
