I have been trying so hard to let go of traumatic memories, fear, sadness, self-pity, resentment, shame, regret, longing, hopelessness, helplessness, and anger, and nobody I mean NOBODY has helped me more than Michael Singer. He offers the steps to releasing and surrendering because he has proven to himself it works. Years ago I read the Untethered Soul, but it didn’t show me how to release. Finally, I found the Surrender Experiment, the book of his that is inspiring and motivating me. I read it the other day in one go. Couldn’t put it down and couldn’t wait to keep reading. I only took bathroom and meal breaks. I wish the book kept going on and on and never ended. His real life experiences were short of miraculous and astounding. I’ve been listening to his videos nonstop. Wake up every morning and letting the heavy feelings come up to be released. They’ve been with me since I was a child. I am finally letting them rise up and go. Infinite consciousness really does know what it is doing with us. We just need to be open and willing to participate in what it is offering.

So how's it going? I did Abraham Hicks law of attraction which is all about surrender and got no where, even though I did it unreservedly and without goalposting for a long time, it wasn't until something happened that made me stop and look around and see that literally everything had gotten worse. It felt like being horse kicked in the gut and being dumped in ice old water at the same time. This just feels the same.

@@Onthe9thlife3730 I don’t listen to Abraham Hicks. It is too frustrating because most of the time it doesn’t work. I love doing the relaxing and releasing from Michael Singer. I am getting better and better at it.

It's nice to know I'm not alone in this. I've been searching for truth since my mom passed away in 2009. I've studied Alan Watts, Ram Dass, Eckart Tolle, Abraham Hicks, Wayne Dyers, Jack Kornfield, and now Michael Singer is becoming a real favorite. I've dropped all the "I am spiritual, look at me how spiritual I am" act and I'm simply me. My daily focus is stay in the present moment, be kind to myself and others, and now learn to let my stuff completely go.

He explains this so well. I had this revelation when I was 19, and my life changed dramatically internally and externally within a short period of time. Every day was an adventure and I just felt weightless and full of energy at all times. At the age of 30 my life since then has been largely a struggle with depression and anxiety, which is the state of my ego that I unfortunately keep falling back into. These periods are really painful and I don't function very well physically or mentally. The amount of stress that is held in my body is intense and chronic. I want to be free for good. I'm starting to let go again. Listening to this was a good reminder.

It can be frustrating when you had a huge spiritual realization when you were younger and then fall back into egoic patterns later. Same happened to me. Thank you for showing me that I’m not alone. ❤

Try your own laughter, laughing. Its also a tool we have inside our bodies. It stops the mind, laughter does and it put you in the moment, in touch with the cosmic juice of life. It is a letting go activity, a form of catharsis. Also considered by eastern teachings to be a form of mediation. I agree. Laughter that has nothing to do with a sense of humor, which is of the intellect. Yes, keep letting go.💖

May I ask what you struggle with specifically? My friend just came out of a 3-month episode, and he has paranoid delusions involving mind-control and grand conspiracies. I tried to suggest some of this kind of content to him, but literally everything is absorbed into the delusion when he’s in it. I’d love to hear your input on this.

Thank you Michael Singer. I just had an AHA moment. It took me just 63 years to understand that until now I had a relationship with the concepts in my MIND not with Life itself. It’s simple if you get it, it’s not simple if you don’t get it. So NOW I have to work on myself and to tell you the truth I really don’t mind since I do understand what I’ve been doing to make myself miserable. Thank you, thank you, thank you! 🙏🙏🙏

After I listened this over two days for a couple of time a day .. wanted to practice it and got very successful for a few tries .. to observe the Moment as it is .. then all of a sudden instead of observing tried to force my feelings on that moment.. this is what happened .. I was driving around pen station .. thousand of people walking , talking and the moment was unfolding in-front of me .. I saw a young lady pushing a small luggage on top of that luggage she had a folded carpet .. I saw her struggling to push it .. then a thought or a feeling came through me and told me to help her .. first I passed her and decided to drive reverse about 5 cars length .. and jumped out opened my trunk ( it’s a yellow taxi ) .. I said to her let me help you I am not going to charge you it’s free me help you … she said. .. NO … .. wooow .. Then I realized Gods moment was unfolding in front of me but I tried to in force my feeling over it ..

This delightful and insightful beingness, Michel Singer, communicates such practical wisdom! What he communicates here is so obvious that, the messages stun, but in a positive way that alters preconceived (often erroroneous) ideas and judgements. MS once mentioned that so much of where we operate from is from being scared. And I think he is correct. I am so appreciative of his time and work to help move through these states! This is literally the opposite of manifesting and/or Donald Hoffman’s work, and yet as a manifestation coach & Donald Hoffman fan, I sing Micheal’s praises as I find his work so moving at this point in my life. Information similar to his did come to me prior to me finding him, and his info feels like water my soul’s been seeking, wanting, & needing for some time now. It’s fascinating, and I wish I can get him & Donald in the same room to ask questions, or ask Micheal my pressing questions, like for example, (I’m passed this stage of my life but) how would 1 pick their major? Or make any choices ever? Or plan anything? God I really wish I could get the answers to these ✨✨✨according to his work🌅

@@resu6098 I see the possibility of creating with life, not against it; so accepting the present moment, then choosing what you would like, without attachment; i.e. being ok with whether you get it or not. Simple but NOT EASY! Takes some relearning how to live as much of our 'automatic' we are creating without being aware. I've studied for years and this works for me. We create and change what we choose, and let go of what we seem unable to change; and it's all ok. Big learning to get there, can't say I've mastered it.

I would really like to know how this applies to human relationships. Like I can understand how things happen in life and you need to learn to adjust to it but when it comes to interacting with humans. I have trouble figuring out how it applies. Sometimes people treat you badly and like how much of that do you take or how do you decide where boundaries are or how to react to other people.

Where I meet you is a boundary condition that connects us. It's like the vessica pisces of two circles. The more you connect with and trust yourself, the more you feel the discomfort of imbalance of social manipulations - that we all learned in infancy and developed through childhood to run as 'normal' in place of a natural presence or intimacy of being. It's lovely to know and be known in love of life, but we learned to mask over being seen in what we feared would be attacked rejected, excluded, and the masking is an attempt to manipulate so as the evade the fear. This can 'dump' or divert to others in ways we may not see, or turn a blind eye to as part of contractual 'relationships. Or 'what do I get out of this?'. Don't adjust to normalise sacrifice of your love to serve the neediness or manipulations of others - whether they know what they do or not. Lean away from that by being with who you are, your current feeling, thoughts and inspirations. Because your Life is already 'there' you only need live a willingness when you remember and act on it as the release of figuring it out, to a trust of feeling being - but not of manipulative emotional states as 'reality'. They offer feedback if you don't let them dictate reaction. A reorientation to learing in joy of connection instead of normalised adaptation to 'learning' under fear of pain.

Thank you for saying out loud what I, too, struggle with. I came across these kind of teachings at a young age and tried to apply them in my life and people just started to treat me really bad, because they realized that they can do so. I then became really depressed. So it’s also a really difficult thing for me to wrap my head around, especially as someone who has a lot of trauma from a narcissistic mother who always crossed my boundaries. And I know that’s also only the story that my self (with a small s) tells itself, but it becomes just complicated to deal with people constantly taking advantage of you when you try to walk the path of selflessness.

I struggle with that too. How to be detached but not passive? How do I change what isn't working?. So tough at times.

How do you know when to surrender or when to walk away from toxic situations that are constantly challenging?
@binra3788
@binra3788 Жыл бұрын
I haven't watched yet but I use the world yielding for the truth of being rather than surrender to an 'Other' but to a sense of conflicted struggle, the Self or Truth will be cast in terms of something other to what we currently identify. The quality of presence or unconflicted awareness - if only an instant - is enough for you to own what is yours in gratitude and release what doesn't belong to you. You cannot think it out and make it so. That is the nature of the mind-trap -not a way of releasing a self-reinforcing loop. If challenge is to your growing willingness of embodying a true movement of your being, then it is not a competition or a test to pass or fail, but an opportunity recognised and accepted. But for ego, challenge can be the means to measure itself over and against 'other' or the adversary, as a sense of becoming a something or someone in its own right, - as if THEN you are acceptable to love and life as fufilment. IE: on YOUR terms and conditions. Unconditional love meets you where you ARE - not where you think you should be or think you want to be. Hate is toxic, and runs unseen as a sense of being right against a self-conviction of evil - identified and targeted for attack, or 'healing' in terms of 'correcting' them to my terms and conditions. If you walk away from what is yours to address and resolve, you of course don't really! You will re-manifest it wherever you go and whoever you are with. What you don't want is to trash yourself or undermine your integrity as you currently accept to be. So the self-honesty is where regardless of what anyone or anything says, you choose to accept or not and act accordingly.

My "problem" was kidney pain that doctors kept telling me was gastrointestinal. I desired to keep functioning kidneys so I expected to be heard but was not. Two years in, the pain became severe and a cat scan was done to put my mind at ease that I had no problem. Even after the scan revealed hydronephrosis in both kidneys and I by now had severe pain on one side, this was not a problem for my new urologist who put me off for weeks while that kidney became damaged. Jumping past several chapters, I received an apology from the CEO of the Urology Group but it is 5 years later and I am having "trouble" being taken seriously with pain in my right kidney. This is the kidney making up for the damaged one. This is the kidney which allows doctors to ignore my pain ("problem") because my kidney function is fine. If no one hears my "problem" I will have a new "problem" of a second damaged kidney. It's hard to be neutral about this even if I am a grain of sand in an overwhelmingly complex and beautiful Universe.

I think you should take care of your body no matter what. You’re being affected directly by it, so this is important. I think what Michael is saying is don’t go outside of yourself insisting things be the way you want because that will just make you unhappy. I take care of my body the best I can because it is directly affecting my well-being. Anything regarding your health should be something you must do.

I have been reading Michael Singer for years now. Bought and read both his best sellers too . Been hearing his podcasts too. Exhilarating experience when you are reading/hearing . Then, one falls flat on the face when trying to implement it. It may been noticed that it requires a complete makeover of one’s life, and that’s difficult to say the least . So where does one go from there?

I had a similar experience. First time I found about Michael Singer's stuff I thought it was the coolest thing ever and the solution to all my life problems, but never actually put any of the teachings into practice so over time just kind of ended up forgetting about it. That said, I have been suffering a lot lately so here I am again! I have had more success this time! From my experience the trick to make this work is to literally give yourself no choice. Make yourself stay open no matter what your mind says. Your mind is going to give you a million reasons as to why you can't or should do this, a million reasons to blame other people for your emotions, and you need to have the courage to ignore all of it. There's actually a fantastic movie about this. Check out "Revolver"! It's a gangster movie but it's one of the coolest depictions I have seen of this process of letting go of your "mind"

This might work in a perfect world, sadly if we just leave people to do as they wish, the people who want to harm others are everything around them, will take over this world and destroy it, we do sadly need rules for those who aren’t enlightened yet.

Easier said than done (that is because the environment is beautiful but unfortunately people are not) wherever there’s a human presence there is litter and environmental abuse.Which means….guess what??? People are unhappy and unappreciative ( check littering and selfishly driving everywhere. Mr. Singer is correct and the videos are fabulous! If only All people could be like him!!!!

Overcoming desire is a valuable concept. But we are also confronted with constant decisions to make throughout the day, small and large decisions. How would we make these decisions if we overcome desire/preferences?
@TheHangedMan
@TheHangedMan 2 жыл бұрын
Believe it or not, you may find that your mind will just do this naturally without your "help." Meaning, you can let go, even disassociate with your thoughts and feelings and desires through mindfulness practice, understanding that these thoughts and emotions and narratives that continually arise in your conscious space are not YOU, but rather just another thing arising in the conscious space... the conscious space but the true "you." This decupling of the things that arise in your consciousness and what you think/feel is actually "you" can help reduce/reframe your suffering, your decisions, everything. But you can still act normal, make decisions, etc. It doesn't seem to negatively affect those things. Your brain will continue to be a brain, and the acting human that is you can keep going normally... if anything, you may find yourself making BETTER decisions!

@TheHangedMan Not so sure about this. This may happend once one has had the experience of being different from mind, like Mr Singer had. But if not, what will act if you don't think, us just your subconscious which is based on preferences from past experience...

@@kaikkk4947 “it’s being in the world but not of it” as it states to that effect in many different spirituality teachings. It’s easier said than done because the subconscious desires/patterns will resist and fight to stay alive. One has to be very much determined and willing to make the spiritual healing and growth path the number one priority as Michael states.
