When driving, I like to bless all the others on the road for a safe and pleasant journey. If someone makes a mistake or creates danger, I get safe and forgive and bless them right away. When others drive well and considerately, I appreciate them. Makes driving a joy. 💕

He has a great way of taking a extremely difficult subject and making it easily understandable. Im so lucky to have found his teachings. Im doing the work. What a joy to practice. I cannot change the world. I CAN change my habits. I want to be happy. I am happy. My mind tells me so many lies. It’s funny to say we don’t like liars but my mind is a liar. I’m catching more lies now and I’m letting them go.

Yes. His Insight has changed the whole trajectory of my life. I just lost my life partner suddenly and two roads appeared in front of me… let the grief attach itself to every other hurt and issue in my life or let this grief cleanse me of everything that holds me back. Singer was who turned up when I decided to seek and more than any other teacher he offers me a clarity that is powerful. I do not think he is correct about AA and willpower and addictions (in fact I think he’s causing some harm with his ideas about it) but i know he is capable of learning more himself.

Yes, everything will be OK as soon as I am OK with everything. This is difficult work but once you’ve tasted it you realize there is absolutely no other way. so many people try to teach you how to change the world, and that only leads to increased fear paranoia and unhappiness. Ultimately, there is only one decision, and that is decide to be happy and to relax and release.

I'm trying to practice what Micheal is saying right now. I am exasperated with my unhappily retired husband who remains stuck for almost a year now in a bad place in his mind. He won't act on any of my suggestions to get out of the rut he's in and he's often irritable with me. I finally accept that I can't fix HIS problem. I'm in observance mode, like when I'm watching TV, BUT when I've had enough of him, I go inside of myself where it's peaceful. I know that I can't control others, only myself, so I'm working at creating a picture of an inner sanctuary to retreat to whenever times are tough.

Congratulations on trying to help your angry frustrated husband. It's a tough way to grow spiritually. It's also unfair that he's taking his frustrations on you. Tell him this is an opportunity for you to do things that before he retired you didn't have time to do. If he has no interest in walking with you everyday or do a little traveling look for a friend who will . Express your interest and your needs. Would he rather be by himself?

@@holbrook905 He doesn't want to be alone but he wants to be left alone to figure out where he's going from here. He loved his 40 year career and honing his skills, so he feels alot like a fish out of water with nothing challenging to do. His career was a huge part of his identity, as is the case with many people. I took your advice though and am working on getting closer with a sister who is happy to go places and do fun things with me. She and her husband, married over 40 years, are having a tough time of it, too. So, she and I are giving the men the space they need and we're concentrating on enjoying our retirement to the fullest possible. Where there's a will, there's a way.

So true! No point in meditating at night if you cant or wont put the work in throughout the day when youre really living. Life itself is the real opportunity. I dont meditate often at this time but work consistently to hold my awareness for as long as possible, then start over again when awareness strays. I dont see much difference between this and sitting quietly in meditation. Not to say it isnt different for others, but personally, my meditation practice is not highly important now and something i turn to when I am nudged spiritually. Michael brought into totality all the spiritual lessons Ive been trying to learn my whole life but never full made sense. What sounds so complicated and taxing he makes so simple and after listening to him I realized that “letting go” is not another task to achieve, it is a state of being moment by moment and I have the ability to choose.🤍 Im glad you are benefitting too, and making the world better!

It seems you maybe missing a few missing pieces of the puzzle he is speaking. One must work out the situation and be ok inside, otherwise it won't make a difference to meditate. Get past the identification of who you believe you are. One will store those negative things if you don't work them out, and new uncomfortable things that come to you, you'll will push it away because it pushes buttons: stuffed resistant gunk of your past, because you haven't learned to sit in it, you may push it away new buttons but the resistance gets added to the other gunk that is suppressed. Those things that are in there are your experiences, but REMEMBER,YOU ARE NOT YOUR EXPERIENCES!

Idk if this is still an issue for you but I have been working on this for awhile with myself so I will give you my summary of what I think it is - it's an issue with boundaries and enmeshment in my experience, and the "cure" lies in balancing the first and third chakra, and also in unconditionally loving yourself. The 1st chakra is safety and security, and if you don't feel safe then nothing you do with higher chakras will really matter, so if that's the case you ask yourself why you feel unsafe. And the third chakra is personal power, and if you are "in your power" and love yourself then you should be able to assert your boundaries and if they are violated, make informed decisions about what to do about it. I know that is an oversimplification but I hope that helps

When taking care of inner environment begins with the gradual gaining of stability of getting used to keeping bowed down to the inner self as real/true "I"and becoming more and more affectionate to feel ownself as atman, undivided self, infinite consciousness, akhanda chaitanya, awakened conscience and bliss residing in stillness, silence, peace, now and awareness the more the feeling of nothingness and emptiness is felt in the mind, body and brain. The states of "NO MIND", "NO THOUGHT", "NO PAST", "NO PRESENT", "NO FUTURE" begins to be experienced in the activities of life.

Michael’s wisdom and simplicity by which he presents working with myself is a process of letting go of the every day current stuff will allow the old stuff to come up so I can let it go. This is profound, simple and sometimes very hard. Learning to let go. Freeing and joyful.

Byron Katie points out that when someone insults us or physically abuses us, we then replay it in our mind thousands of times after the incident.. "They" hurt us once but we then hurt ourselves with the mental replay an infinite number of times.. we torture ourselves.. Once we see this, we can stop torturing ourselves. Also I recently felt annoyed with myself for getting on the "wrong " line at a busy supermarket...it wasn't moving. I started to berate myself for having gotten on the wrong line ( the other one was moving rapidly)...then I stopped myself and told myself " this is an opportunity to practice patience and equanimity." So I took out my AirPods and listened to wonderful music and podcasts. Before I knew it, . I ended up getting to the cashier ahead of where I would have been had I changed lines.. This is a small example. Trivial experience. But the lesson was that I took my mind off the line, off the frustration and my "wrong" choice.. So we have opportunities throughout the day to practice not getting irritated, angry , obsessive, impatient etc

He’s not addressing being hungry and/or being in danger of losing your housing. I know road rage is important but I wish he would address the issues of more people and make his work accessible and relevant to those folks instead of or in addition to those who are doing pretty well overall.

Sadly, most human beings are not "doing pretty well overall," even if they have gobs of money. It's a very rare person who could not benefit at all from the "inner environment" work he talks about.

Yes, I‘ve noticed that the bigger stuff is coming on the way when I‘ve decided something like: „Now, I save my money!“ Immediately comes sonething that I MUST pay. Therefore, I am a bit afraid to „practise“ with little things because I know, that the challenge is getting bigger. On the other hand, if they ar work give ne tasks that are too easy, it is not challenging and boring. Anyway, I‘ve beaten that thing by always finding something challenging in any task. For example, I can peactise to make a better schedule, I can increase the speed to do my task, something like that. I feel, it is the same thing in the „letting go“-thing. After listening to Michael Singer I see things that I could „let go“ everywhere. When you get bigger challenges, at least life is not boring - 🤔 When you need excitement, it is better to go and climb the mountain that wait until the Universe brings a sudden challenge, as you quietly demanded when you said: Life is boring. My wife/husband is boring. Etc.
