Didn’t the deleted scenes from Event Horizon ended up being destroyed or something like that? I remember a discussion about a full directors cut being impossible to make today because of that
@triledink Жыл бұрын
@@brock2460 Some cut scenes for the movie was destroyed because the film owners did not take much care of the cuts, Some of the cut content were restored, but the disturbing/gory scenes that was all about the crews fears were sadly destroyed. We know about the scenes on what was destroyed since the director in an interview told us what the destroyed scenes were about and sadly since they lack footage there will probably never be an proper extended or directors cut of the movie. There are some youtube videos talking about the deleted scenes and/or cut scenes.

THe really funny thing about SCP 048, is that if I remember correctly, the running joke of it being deleted resulted in someone making an SCP article about the entry number being cursed. Basically every SCP they numbered '048' would end up destroyed or go missing shortly after like all the previously written entries were. So eventually the foundation just gave up and went "Fuck it." and just used the entry to describe the phenomenon instead.

That's odd, because the SCP Foundation doesn't really reuse numerical designations. If an SCP with a certain number is destroyed, then its neutralized and thats that.
@capncaviar Жыл бұрын
@@princeharris2660 naw neutralized is a designation used in cannon for when a entity no longer exhibits anomalous behavior or is destroyed either through a planned action or by natural causes, it has nothing to do with how it is archived in the wiki, because trust me there are some real bad ones written everyday and are removed from the site completely. That is unless it is considered important to the wiki history where it is then stored on the historical scp page where it retains its number followed by the designation -his. It is very common to reuse a number if an entry is deleted to keep the quality of the wiki high and to keep the flow easy to follow because if we didn't we would most likely have over 300,000 entries leading to dead links if they never reused numbers claimed by entries deemed not meeting the standards of the wiki moderators.

A Taxi Driver GTA/Manhunt clone is one of the funniest adaptations of that film you could make, like, The Warriors is one of the best picks for a 70s film turned 2000s game, but that’s like turning 2001 Space Oddity into space invaders
@yeez13 Жыл бұрын
There’s a nice little deep dive video somewhere on YT about the Taxi Driver game and had some input by the devs. Apparently, they wanted to do a pseudo-sequel about Travis finding Jodie Foster’s character, who’d gone missing some time after the ending of the movie. Based on what was shared, the story itself…while serviceable…was a decent (possibly could‘be been good) way to continue the story. They even came up with creative ways to deal with it being Open World like having Travis black out behind the wheel and reset closer to the mission(s) if you strayed too far from it; you could even wake back up if you died in a mission as though you’d dreamed of things going badly. In particular, they circle back around to the message of the movie by basically portraying Travis as someone who can’t escape violence for long and why choosing it is a dark path. However…Scorsese doesn’t like video games and threatened to sue Majesco over it and that was that 🤷🏽♂️ One last thing: Papaya Studios was only chosen to make the game because they presented Majesco with a literal tech demo of a Taxi Sim game they were playing around with making

I have it on vinyl and have the digital copy among many others. Luckly the album has been uploaded on the Internet Archive and on KZbin as well, so anyone is able to listen to the album. The tracks itself are a collection of instrumentals and alternative instrumentals of songs from The Fragile and songs from the recording sessions for the Fragile that went unused even with one of the unused tracks being later used for a Saul Williams track, a friend of Trent Rezor.

This guy was like any of the best sports announcers you would normally hear during fast paced physical games like Basketball, Hockey, etc... but doing it for Quake III Area tourneys! He obviously has some kind of training and for all I know, could have been an announcer for physical sports. I watched many with him and have been looking for them for a few years now. He was so good and so fast, very fun to hear while watching. These were recorded in the very early 2000s. Any leads would be amazing if they still exist!

on the topic of lost Touhou songs... a lot of the music was lost with copyright claims and accounts being deleted, such as Miracle in Gensokyo and Nitori Kawashiro's channels repeated being banned. I've had dozens of songs removed from my playlist, and clicking a deleted video does _not_ tell you what that video originally was. Personally I download the songs onto my PC for when the video is inevitably taken down for one reason or another. However some songs aren't necessary "lost" in that people that own the albums from purchasing them on the circles' webpages or buying them physically at Comiket conventions still have access to the music. Not all of them are probably keen on uploading the music online since they paid for the albums, and certain circles specifically like ZYOKINE frequently copyright claim the uploads. There is a Touhou Music Database but I'm not sure how it works, I've never really used it myself. Usually I archive my music just by downloading it or writing down the titles. Still, I lost an old vocal arrange of Higan Retour a long time ago and I've not been able to find it again. Its a shame because that song was such a bop... :/

There’s one lost media that I see no one ever mention which is the live-action reference footage from Walt Disney’s Sleeping Beauty. Specifically the ending fight scene where Prince Philip fights the dragon. At the time it was still a challenge animating people, especially in an action scene, so they shot footage of an actor dressed up as the prince with a prop sword and acted out the fight. The animators used this as a reference when drawing the character fighting the dragon. We only have a couple of still pictures from the reference footage. The whole thing is either in the vault or lost all together. Considering we have the reference footage from Walt Disney’s first film Snow White with that being 86 years old, I’m leaning more towards the footage being lost all together.

Just a little additional information about the Asterix and Obelix movie. The real reason for not ever hitting the cinema is because of the right issue. The studio which did the movie never had the right from Goscinny and Uderzo. They only discover it once it was finished. They refused to give the right and asked to be destroyed or at least not ever released. After that incident, they created their own animated studio named Idefix Studio which created the animated movie based on Asterix and Cleopatra.

About the Control Denied second album, there was indeed quite a bit of progress made on the recording and seemingly, the manager of the band, Eric Greif, had the master tapes of what was done of the album by the time of his death in 2021. Some years ago he mentioned wanting to finally finish the project and even got around to recruit members of the band to record their parts. Unfortunately, due to legal issues that couldn't be resolved, the project couldn't continue and it was shelved.

the demos are official songs. Schuldiner was Death, he was Control Denied. It was his projects, so he decided. Nobody else would write songs since he kicked the rebel members who toured europe without him. He was making demos and when you hear the demos you know how it would sound with Control Denied 1 production. But they count equally since the USA medical system took the life of Schuldiner (if i kept Terry Schiavo alive as a vegetable AFTER thedeath of chuck ever since she was a vegetable in the 1980s when chuck wrote "Pull the Plug", you must afgree it is undeniable the medical system costs in the USA killed chuck)

The Duke Nukem Forever early build was actually leaked, although it wasn't the side scroller like you mentioned, the fps builds were leaked and there's a mod that plans to recreate the entire build.

Salt mine vaults are used to preserve film because they are the most extremely dry places on earth, so anything that is sensible to moisture gets stored in archives built into old, no longer in use salt mines.

Apparently the things J.R were saying was about a female contestant having an affair with a former boss. And this was after she'd confided that she'd just come out of a bad relationship. So if that's true, then YEAH, dude deserved to be scrubbed from Hell's Kitchen and given that it took eleven years to even discover him I'd say he got cut EARLY in the process.

Fun fact about the lost Asterix film: It was made on a machine called the animographe. To the best of my knowlege, there only ever was a single prototype of that machine, which was also used for the first season of the tv series "les shadoks" (and then broke down at the end of season one, which explains the higher quality of following seasons). Funly enough "les shadoks" also has lost media. The series is available in full in French, but there were dubs of the first season and possibly english dubs of season 2 and 3 which are apparently lost. There's one dubbed episode on youtube, but it appears to be from season 4 from 2000, which would be much later than the lost english dub from the 70's. Anyway, the animographe belonged to the ORTF, which gave it's archive to the INA which to this day is responsible for archiving audiovisual documents, so there's very little hope for any more Asterix content being found.

Also, the second Asterix movie was in production already when the first one came out and the creators of the comic hated the first movie so much they disallowed any further movies without their involvement, which led to the cancellation of the the Sickle movie.

I have a possible piece of lost media. It was a roblox story video that was in KZbin, seems like it may have been deleted from the platform. It was about some roblox man’s wife or gf or something being crushed by a falling tree because of a roblox builder or something. It had a song in it called “Sad Song” by We The Kings which was very very fitting. The roblox couple or something lived in the forest, and they were going for a walk in the forest for something i don’t remember. Until the woman got crushed into her demise. The male character witnessed it and was seeing their loved one’s last minutes or seconds or whatever. I first watched it in 2016-2017 ish, but the video looks like it may have been made back in 2014 ish. The title was something among the lines of roblox sad story.

1:53:00 the toybox is archived in the strangest way. KZbinr Ratlobber did a video about strange bootleg version of Garry's Mod and found one called "Garry's Mod 12 SSR" which he took notice in given that the download size is over 40 GIGABYTES and the reason for that is that it includes, and I shit you not, an archive of the original toybox.
