I was told by a officer that they have instructions not to engaged until reviving a 911 call I witness a man with 2 knifes in a grocery store the man was taken outside the store by the store owner they called police the police took the knifes from the man and let them man go the store owner was furious and the police said they could not arrested him cause he didn’t hurt no one the store owner called the Precint and spoke to the captain he said they orders r coming from above there’s nothing he could do! The store owner asked who’s above him he said the person is not available but he could call back! I think the police still on hands down by the way they conducting them self’s I don’t think this has to do with the DA o bailed reform! I will ask the store owner if they still have the video footage cause there’s a lot of elderly people in this block for this to stay in nothing! This is an issue the police cannot solve on its own. We have kids that are 15-16 joining gangs and shooting each other. Parents and schools must be more involved in teaching children right from wrong. The judges must also impose tougher sentences on known gang members so they remain locked up and do not influence children. Make prison a less appealing place to be. This is an issue will take years to solve and requires a comprehensive plan. Stricter policing will not do a thing.

Unfortunately the problem isn’t the parents directly. Cost of living is so high that parents can’t be parents. Most people have to work multiple jobs to make ends meet. When do they have time to teach their kids right from wrong? The system is what causes violence, desperation causes violence, lack of guidance results in violence. Its proven that when a parent can actually parent, the kids turn out pretty damn well. Most people don’t have that luxury anymore. The days of stay at home moms are almost completely gone. Both parents are now required to work. Parents now have to work longer due to social security age increasing. It’s all by design.
