I’m posting here because it’s your most recent video and I hope you see it! I watched most of your St. Pat’s live chat while it was happening, but for some reason there was no live chat available that I could see, just the top line under the picture had people’s questions. I wanted to tell you that I finally used the recipe for sardine salad that you posted for me after I had said I didn’t want to eat the soft fish without my crunchy (grain) WASA crispbread. You suggested adding freshly cut parsley and red onion and refrigerating the sardines first. BTW, my favorite brand is also King Oscar. This is just anecdotal, but back in the nineties, I knew a woman whose husband had worked for King Oscar, and he claimed they were the ONLY brand that WASHED their sardines before canning! I don’t know that the claim was true, then, and of course now it could have changed. For some reason, they ship the sardines to Poland to be canned! Or so the label says. In any case, the recipe turned out pretty good except the red onion was too strong and hot for me; I’m used to using only sweet onions. I dressed it with ACV and EVA and added a little pepper. I think next time I might try lemon juice and dill. Thank you so much for this recipe! I really need to eat more sardines!

Hi Anita! Thanks for bringing back one of my favorite. I don’t have the Sous vide nor the air fryer. I make my in the oven. The last step with the crackling usually would set off my smoke alarm in my rental. I don’t make them as often as I like. I enjoy watching you regardless. I like your sense of humor with the little comments you make. You’re hilarious!

I have a tip for piercing the skin easily: bring about 1/2 inch of water in a skillet, place the pork belly, skin side down in the water and boil for 4 minutes. Now the skin will be very easy to pierce.

I fix in the air fryer but have a sou vide but in the South puts so much moisture in the air. I imagine where you have heavy heating that clears out quickly.

So, not being a cook I had no idea what sous vide is so I thought I’d watch this to try to see if I could figure it out by watching. I looks like it is almost a hot water bath way of cooking. I don’t know what the benefits would be of cooking this way. It certainly wouldn’t be speed 😂I’ll look the words up but that’s my best guess.
@KetogenicWoman14 күн бұрын
The advantage is that it turns cheap cuts of meat into very tender meals. Once you have a sous vide wand then it's easy enough to experiment with other meats to see what happens, that's what this was.

Sous vide is French for 'cooking under vacuum'. It's a whole new world! The little wand that I used makes it possible to do that in any home kitchen.
