Hello. Sent hubby out for marrow bones and he came back with beef Osso buco and oxtail (old fashioned favourite in Oz). Put it all in slow cooker overnight and put all marrow etc back in and puréed it. WOW - the flavour. No salt and no cooking down. Putting meat and salt back in for tonight’s dinner. Thank you. Bone Marrow is just great isn't it! Not only for the nutrients that it provides, but for the rich and creamy texture and flavour. I use it a lot in conjunction with beef / oxtail sauce reductions as it's perfect to thicken stews and soups. Another great one to try would be pig brains that provide a super creamy effect, if you're able to source the ingredients of course.

It's not a precise time and you will be able to see when all the stuff has fallen off the bone and the marrow is floating around!
