Love Patty! I learned how to make chocolate cake from ground beef from her channel~ she's amazing & an all around lovely human, imho. Beef stew has become one of my favorite things to make & eat, especially after extensive dental work. Love the idea of pureeing the bits into the soup~ brilliant. I've simply been chopping it all up small, but this looks even better Anita, thank you! -Samantha

Hello. Sent hubby out for marrow bones and he came back with beef Osso buco and oxtail (old fashioned favourite in Oz). Put it all in slow cooker overnight and put all marrow etc back in and puréed it. WOW - the flavour. No salt and no cooking down. Putting meat and salt back in for tonight’s dinner. Thank you. You look radiant! I make bone marrow broth and concentrate it to freeze in cubes to make a quick broth drink. My father trained as a butcher and always told me to buy whole beef and chop for stew meat and ground meat at home, and I have 2lb of brisket in the fridge and was wondering what to do. Now I know I need to make the stew. TY

Bone Marrow is just great isn't it! Not only for the nutrients that it provides, but for the rich and creamy texture and flavour. I use it a lot in conjunction with beef / oxtail sauce reductions as it's perfect to thicken stews and soups. Another great one to try would be pig brains that provide a super creamy effect, if you're able to source the ingredients of course.

I am with you…better to use steak 🥩on sale than cook with expensive stew beef‼ Americans 🇺🇸always promote Chuck roasts…which is 🇨🇦$13.50 +++ 🇨🇦a pound here in 🇨🇦…yes, but our 🇺🇸Friends can find it between ninety-nine cents and $4.19/pound when they buy the whole Chuck Roll.
