South Africa's indigenous communities file case against tech giant Amazon | Khoi Khoi Community

Two of South Africa's indigenous communities have dragged the tech giant Amazon to court. Members of the Khoi Khoi and San community have now filed a case in the Cape Town court against the construction of a new 70,000 sq. meter Amazon complex. Their concern was that the project would harm the environment. The court's ruling might be announced in the next week.

A correction.....Khoi and Xu (San) .....ARE THE ORIGINAL INHABITANTS OF AFRICA ESPECIALLY SOUTHERN AFRICA.....BLACK TRIBES (BANTU) ORIGINATED IN CENTRAL AFRICA....WHERE THE COUNTRY OF CAMEROON IS...BEFORE DISPLACING KHOI & (XU) SAN...southwards and westwards....e.g. ZULU is also spoken ancestrally in a few other countries as the tribe migrated southwards...KHOI were herders of sheep, cattle and goats originating in Botswana...whereas XU are Hunter gatherers.... who hate being called SAN since it means robber man or bushman suggesting they cannot build home structures...they live in portable matted structures or permanent huts....there are Khoi-Bantu tribes like Xhosa...hence the new name for Port Elizabeth called now Quebergha..

I Uused to live up the road from this monstrosity. So much available space but they chose a heritage site next to the observatory. A club that was open for all residents to enjoy. A football stadium popular and a mental institution not too far away. And of course one could go fishing so more than indigenous people affected here.
