As a South African myself I would just like to say although Apartheid ended years ago you can still see the effects to this day most black africans live in bad conditions informal settelments with poor inferstructer and are still in povety because of how there grandpearents and parents were treated. the goverment which is still the ANC sucks and becuase of corruption are ruining our country. When Nelson was our president he was probobly the best we had but I sill will for ever love our past on our inspiring heros like Nelson Mandela P.S Love your art keep it up😁

While I thorougly enjoyed and agreed with the video, (excellent job btw) I was quite shocked when you referred to FW DeKlerk as a 'wet noodle' compared to Mandela. I would suggest you conduct some more research about FW, and possibly reconsider your statement.

This really does have to be one of the most underrated channels I’ve ever seen. It really is terrible how such great art and story telling has gone unnoticed by the KZbin algorithm thus far. Congratulations on 500 (nearly 600 now) and I hope you can grow large and quickly.

The greatest defeat to the South African government were sanctions and the arms embargo. Prior to that, South Africa was super strong due to European and American Capital. It allowed for government to spend 25% of the budget on defence spending which was primarily on policing Apartheid and funding the destabilisation of other African governments. It caused the stale mate in Angola and the recessions of the 1980's and a sharp devaluation of the rand. If you are interested in learning the secret negotiations between the White Corporate/Capital South Africa and the ANC, watch the Endgame. Remember like all things, this story is extremely nuanced. BTW, to call de Klerk a "lightweight" is extremely harsh. He averted a civil war. Anyway the words of those fascist Afrikaner leaders proved true as the ANC government post Mbeki became increasingly corrupt leading to an almost collapsed state. It makes Mandela's 27 years and deaths of millions over time seem to go in vain to the maladministration that is currently taking place. Its a lesson of why Africa is failed continent.

In the modern day the ANC isn't what it used to be :/ They've gone quite neolib and have abandoned a lot of what they stood for. Trying to rely on the Private Sector more, clamping down on the rights of Immigrants, prioritizing what is profitable over what is humane, engaging in corruption scandal after corruption scandal, losing backbone after backbone. When the DA takes a place from the ANC, that place barely changes, the ANC had already done it's work for them. If they start supporting the death penalty in the future, I may not be surprised.

Wow this is such a high quality video and almost every thing was included! I only wish you coverd the roles Socialist brother states like Angola, Mozambique, Cuba, the DDR and the Soviet Union more. A lot of my relatives were in the armed struggle and were trained in the Eastern Block. Plus you should have mentioned in what extend the West supported Apartheid (Israel, West Germany and the USA for example). Great Video and keep it up from South Africa!

I saw your channel through kraut, and i have to say im really impressed with the videos. Great content and good artwork. I have watched 4 of your videos now and i think they are really good. However, i would recommend you to get a better mic, since the sound quality isn't that good. I'm not sure, but i have a feeling that sound quality and the way a script is written, is far more important than the visual art, since a lot of people watch these videos for there content and not the art, the art is simply a really good bonus. Anyways, keep up the good work, but i would strongly recommend you to get a better mic.
