That was a beautiful reaction. I really enjoyed what you took from the lyrics. And that's what I appreciate so much about their songs. They leave room for you to think about it. And figure your personal take of the song. Here's a little background to the song. The lyrics have parallels to an old german song performed by Marlene Dietrich. There's one line that gives you a hint, that a father is singing this song to/ for his daughter respectively how sorry he feels that she's becoming an adult and therefore independent. Doesn't need his protection any more. "Sie sprachen nur von deiner Mutter" - " They just talked about your mother" Till's voice is so soft and carries so much emotion, it makes you hang on his lips. Plus you also hear his singing talent, because the song was performed before he took singing lessons with an opera singer for two years. With love from Germany 🤘 😎
