I just got my Ls at Murray Bridge during the week, your videos were fantastic to have some idea of what to expect. Now I've got that itch to ride but nothing to ride just yet, absolutely cant wait to get out there! For anyone considering getting their bike licence, the only regret you will have is not doing it sooner 😉

Hey Rider Guider & Mrs Rider Guider.. thankyou so much for posting your videos Mrs Rider Guider, they have helped me a huge amount! Went for my Learners today and yesterday at Murray Bridge Rider safe and passed. I've never owned a motorbike or ridden one and your tips helped give me a bit more confidence and feel more prepared for what I was in for. You're lucky to have one another! I don't know anyone who rides since moving from Adelaide to Strathalbyn but as soon as I get my bike I'm hoping to meet some like minded souls. Would be great to practise with people more experienced, in preparation for the advanced course. Thanks again, keep up the good work and riding! Cheers

Carly this is awesome news! Congrats on passing the course, the team over at Murray Bridge are very supportive. Strath will be a great place to meet up with a few riders on sunny weekends, we'll let you know when we're riding that way as we recently discussed doing so once this weather starts to pick up! Well done. What bike are you looking to get? 🙂

You're welcome mate & go for it! The guys who run the courses are very helpful, they do everything to make it easier, they expect nerves and take that in to consideration, they're not out to fail people - just to help people get through. Also they're not looking for perfection either, just ability to learn and improve. Let us know how you go! GOOD LUCK.

@@taekooklyf1307so I grew up on bikes ect but on the road it’s completely different, but this test is so easy to pass! Its the part 2 of that test that gets harder
Its 5 am.Linda is still fast asleep as I have just watched what you do, I think its a really good idea to learn new riders all the basic skills. We met you at Triumph Hinckley yesterday and its in the diary for next Wednesday. best wishes, John and Linda Bellamy. I meant the Wednesday after next. the 28th.

Great to meet you both. We’re excited to head back to Triumph. We could easily have spent longer chatting bikes but needed to look after the dad who was flagging a bit. Great we can nip back and enjoy it again on 28th 🙂

@@Massacheefa GOOD work. Just concentrate on smooth riding. Plenty of use of the clutch. Slow riding skills are important. It’s difficult finding places to practice though. Nice private carparks and some cones.

Hello Mr and Mrs rider guide! Tomorrow will be my 2nd day of my basic training ! Will I be in the traffic to get the learner permit at all or just assessment in the practice zone like in your video
@TheRiderGuider7 ай бұрын
No road. All just back at the assessment centre. Another day of full support by the team, don’t be nervous, enjoy. You’ll have your permit at the end of it. Then you can go on the roads in your own time afterwards 🙂👍🏼 🍀

Congrats, 🙂 is this course good for someone who's never ridden a bike? Or better to buy one and practice in carparks if able to first? Thanks
@TheRiderGuider3 жыл бұрын
We bought the bike and did a bit of sneaky training beforehand however it is very difficult to find anywhere legal … you’d need to find a private car park and get someone to get the bike there for you to practice with. HOWEVER … the course teaches from scratch. You could just go, learn on their bike and then when you pass get your bike.

Get booked in mate. Soon as you can and it’s done then. Where are you based?
@TheoEclipse2 жыл бұрын
I think technically you can legally ride an off road motorbike anywhere that's offroad or has dirt tracks without a license, you're just not allowed to ride it on the road.

We booked my son in at St Agnes, but we’re told it’s a small training site which makes it harder, as opposed to going to Murray Bridge,which is much larger. Any thoughts ??
@mrsriderguider10082 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I just saw your comment. For me the more space the better. I find it less intimidating and I was a real beginner on a bike. I don’t know what the St Agnes site looks like so I can’t comment on that. I chose to do part 2 at Murray Bridge because I liked the space. Good luck to your son!

Do you have to do the test on a bike with a clutch I have ridden motos with gears all over Asia but they were all automatics. I plan on getting a scooter which is too large to ride on a car licence. Do they have scooters at these tests
@TheRiderGuider2 жыл бұрын
Hi Tim, don't think they have scooters but it's worth asking. To be honest they lend you the bikes anyway, it's an awesome skill to have is riding a bike with a clutch. They teach you from scratch so my advice would be to go that route anyway? Get it in the bag, then you're future proofed for what ever you buy. A big scooter would be cool though, I like the BMW one ... think it's a 650? Not cheap however. A Yamaha Majesty would be a good one to own too. What scooter you looking at?
@wereoursouls34722 жыл бұрын
At 3:50 you can see a couple of scooters parked.
@mrsriderguider10082 жыл бұрын
Yes they have scooters on the tests. However you end up with a scooter license which doesn’t allow you to ride a bike with gears any more. The rules have changed recently about that.

They use their own bikes. In fact even if you have your own they prefer you to use theirs for the course 👍🏼 … they generally have three different models to suit everyone 😎
