Pretty neat seeing you fish under that connector. I too have family near there in Mt Pleasant and have caught some big reds hiding under those bridges and near the banks. Cut bait comes in clutch down there!

Daniel Island! I work right there at the restaurant The Kingstide. The dock right in front holds tons of trout and flounder.
@mickeyblueeyes1833 жыл бұрын
My parents live right there too. Going to visit soon and try to fish that dock. Let me know if you have any suggestions on how to fish it
@jessemason65553 жыл бұрын
@@mickeyblueeyes183 live shrimp or finger mullet. Cut mullet for big reds too. I’ve had success fishing that dock for flounder bumpin the bottom with a little paddletail. The docks right there are pretty new so they aren’t holding sheepshead quite yet as there aren’t any barnacle growing.

Northeast fishing techniques (artificial lures, spoons, Gulp, etc.) don't automatically work down South. Learned that the hard way this past summer from the locals while fishing from Hilton Head to Juno Beach Pier ... natural bait reigned supreme. Had to relearn everything I thought I knew , ugh

That "big crab" (not the blue crab) is a young stone crab. In SC you can only harvest one claw so I'm sure using them as bait is illegal. Keep this in mind for future trips please.

You ever fish in the Chesapeake? I live in Maryland and it’s the best time of the year for stripers you should fish in the bay sometime. Also love the vids man. Also a tip for live lineing spot if you hook them in the tail and use like a tiny split shot the fish will naturally swim to the bottom.

I have an idea that could make you a few dollars plus help others. I’m going to be 70 in November. I would love to be able to fish some of the places you do. I think you could get some outside groups to put together a Fishaholic app that shows locations, fish species found, best lures, places to sleep, food etc. you could even insert links to sponsors. It would show the users your favorite parking spots. Directions to fishing areas. Areas to avoid. Let your imagination run wild. Plus add a fishing game we can play when we’re sitting in the truck waiting out a storm.
