We will see what our run game is like without rocket - I have faith in the rest of our RB room and laheisman to get the run game going, but I think we are gonna surprise some folks with the passing game

I would lile to see Ashford in at RB. If he does good attempt to retain him in that capacity for 2025. He is a load at 235 with 4.5 speed. I also look for Harbor to have a big game.

As mentioned below, Robbie Ashford will suit up for the bowl game, but hopefully he only sees the field in mop up duty if USC is winning by 30. He may have the arm and definitely has the running ability to play in the SEC, but Robbie never developed the rest of the tools needed to be an SEC QB. He said that he learned more in two months as a Gamecock than he learned during his entire time at Auburn. You'd hope that was an exaggeration but seeing him play you can believe it may be true. If people who didn't know anything about Ashford and LaNorris Sellers watched both of them play, I think 100 out of 100 people would say Ashford was a True Freshman and LaNorris was a polished Senior.

Watched Robby play WHEN? He only played against Akron & vs LSU as an option QB & would've had 70 yds in 5 passing atts against them if it wasn't 4 a ghost offensive PI. The only way you could conclude he was a FR was by way of playing time. I thought he was just a regular option QB, but his ball placement & accuracy against Akron was ahead of where LaNorris was @ the time. He just hasn't had opportunity & stability, but ppl love 2 apply sensationalism based on nothing. No, he's not valuable enough 2 start ahead of Sellers, bc LaNorris is a generational talent who makes up 4 horrible O-line play & play calling. I think Ashford is ready elsewhere given a true shot.

@@disheemthomas4553 He came in for one series against someone after Akron and immediately fumbled the first snap (Hey, it happens, but he didn't play again after that). Robbie was a good teammate by all accounts and I'm happy he has another year to play elsewhere and hopefully have a great season. But the reason I say he looked like a Freshman, is just because of his development as a passer. He just doesn't look polished or confident (or accurate) in any facet other than running the ball. As it turns out that wasn't even useful in terms of bringing him in for a series to spell LaNorris, because it never surprised any opponent because they all knew he was a run-only QB; and in fact LaNorris was still the better runner anyway.

@GodLovesComics Yes, that fumble was the end of his usage. So what? Nobody has been criticized more in that area than LaNorris. Your assessment is convenient & lazy bc there's ZERO chance you conclude he doesn't look confident in 9 incompletions on 71.9% passing & no INTs. Robby was very effective running the ball as well, despite every opponent outside of Akron knowing it was coming. I didn't like the 2 QB dynamic, but it was a change in pace I missed later in the season w a limited offense & poor coordinating. LaNorris is better thru the tackles & going down field. Robby is clearly better in between the tackles. He averaged 5.5 ypc to Sellers' 4.2, which isn't completely fair as 1 had 2 drop back consistently behind a bad line, but @ least I can contextualize & provide facts instead of just making things up that I can't back. But the fact you tried 2 downplay a 5.5 yards per pop w the exact wording you used exposes the whole basis of your take. I would have no problem if it was predicated on reality. & you're the same commenter I got in2 a back & 4th w over Loggains' ineptitude in which you claimed he had 2 simplify the offense 4 Sellers while passively deflecting blame 2 him. NOW, HE'S the "senior." 🤦🏾‍♂️😂🤣

NIL and scholarships are income any way you look at it. They are in my opinion, contractual agreements. What's your name, image or likeness worth if you opt out? These opt out players had no issues taking the money all this time so fine them for not living up to what they assumed they were worth. In 20 years of military service defending these kinds of choices, not once did I call my superiors to tell them, "Hey, I'm sitting this one out today because I may get hurt"! These prima donnas need to be held accountable for what they are expected to do and what they assumed they were worth. Ask a first responder not to help someone that's in need or ask a teacher to tell a student they don't feel like showing them how to do something today. Wtf has this woke generation become? Oh yeah, we gave them all trophies even as losers and didn't keep score. We created this outcome!
