Is the outrigger a standard, or common setup for offshore in Florida? I'm moving out there soon, and don't commonly see the outrigger on the offshore yak setups out here in California. Also, how far offshore you guys having to go to pick up on the these big boys?

Hey Cody! not commonly at all. it's just me. Most of the guys I fish with are on their outbacks and pro anglers. a few pdl and even paddle boards. It takes about a 3 miles to get into 500ft but you can catch monster kings in 60 to 200ft of water. since we're more closer to the Gulfstream. there's alot plegics around. join "south florida kayak fishing club" if you have any more questions. tons of info, tornaments, pictures, and launch dates.

Yak Ninja no I’m no I’m from New Jersey and I’m just coming down for the week. It’s my 4th year coming down and the first 3 haven’t went to well. Only been catching small snappers and stuff like that so this year I decided to rent a kayak. Just looking to link up with people that know the area well that can put me on some good fishing.
