its easier for filipinos to learn english because filipino grammar is much more similar to english than korean grammar to english... well not as close as for example english and other european languages but compared to korean, filipino grammar is much closer, i tried to study korean language before and its really different

I'm from mindanao. Kids here are more fluent in English than tagalog.. My kids can't speak tagalog fluently and they find it difficult.

I’m from Davao and same. Tagalog isn’t really that useful in Mindanao… we only learned Tagalog in Mindanao because most of the media, shows, and news is in Tagalog. But it’s still nice to learn and understand it because we need to Communicate with other Filipinos as well when you meet them abroad or when you go to Manila

@@boysteacher3818 mindanao bisaya lahi ra sa cebuano bisaya. sa akong pagkompara ug pag analisa, sa mindanao ang majority nga real bisaya speaker. maila nimo na sa accent ug words for example "ulo" word nga gamit sa kadaghan ma tagalog man o bisaya, pero sa cebuano accent "o". ulan to uwan, kung baga cebuano ay maikompara nimo sa tagalog batangas. mao usab sa bohol bisaya ug siquijor bisaya lahi-lahi ug accent pero pareho ra bisaya. kini base lang sa akoang obserbasyon ambot lang pud sa uban.

Just imagine this. Learning english is just like learning how to cook properly. Because when you cook, you have to prepare the best ingredients to have a nice, beautiful, and healty meals that good to your body, same as english they teach you how to read it properly, teach you the proper position of every words and phrases, as well as great diction if you know learn it just like that....

if you're a foreigner and walking around, in the city.. and talking to local people.. even a small child that you've encountered.. they can talk and answer you in English because those kids from kindergarten to grade 6 have subjects that use English .. in other words, except for studying at school... you can also practice your English.. by talking to the locals... but just never mind about the accent BTW...

Yeah bec in the ph we have more than 80 languages and dialects spoken in different regions but Filipino is our official language. For ex if you put a cebu (a region in the Philippines )resident he/she may not understand tagalog well bec it is spoken mostly in few regions in Luzon. But collectively we are thought english because of the American colonization and influence

Reason is we start learning English in kindergarten. I was still in kindergarten, I remember my teacher said to us, if you want to go the CR, then you need to ask in English. Almost all subjects and teachings are in English. Only two subjects are not English.

My nephew can't speak tagalog until he is 5 years old we so worried but we surprise he start speak in english all he have to do is watch youtube right now he is 6 years old we try to teach him to speak tagalog even tho he can understand tagalog but its so difficult to him to make conversation if he speak tagalog he is much comfortable in english😂😂😂

The Advantage of Koreans to go Study here in the Philippines is that they could assimilate right easily to our Culture since we're the closest people who has similar to their Facial Features (Not Might Be All) as well as they could gain more Respect from the Filipino People whose very Welcoming to any other Nationalities from all over the World since almost all the Filipino People has these natural traits or behaviour of being Polite and Humble towards other people. And of course, even though most of the Foreign People Specifically Koreans Students used to Bragged and Throw dirty Slurs towards Filipino People they won't get the same in return from Filipinos since filipino People hate putting themselves into something that is not necessary and would probably chose to leave it in there and could ignore things out. Not unlike in any other Countries which would cater Foreign Student to Teach English and that their becoming Classmates are more likely to be so Bullies towards Asian People would resulting to such as an Unexpected Violence. They would be treated differently and become the Center of School Bullying. So, in my Opinion, lucky those Korean Students who would chose Philippine as their Second Home for their Further English Proficiency. I would Considered them Intelligent for their Nice Choice though!

Nah, the advantage of learning English in the Philippines is that it is very cheap, and you can practice even if you are not in school by just communicating with local Filipinos because most of them will talk back to you in English. Not like in Korea, when they go back to their homes, they have nothing to talk to or practice with to apply what they learn in school, so it is hard to learn the language there.

They take advantage of our workers with low wage what if we devote teaching filipinos, the thing is if the teacher excell in his or her field it's either she want to go abroad to teach foreign or teach foreign students here in philippines. I'm college and some of my classmates have struggle in English language they can speak english but not a well construct grammar probably 40% of my classmates. Every class is congested with 40+ students and the instructor probably has a lot of students outside our class "sometimes they teach 2 universities" . What if we increase wage for them? so they don't need to take another class, if they are tired the quality of teaching may suffer😩

Ask the government to stop sending OFWs first and provide local jobs so we can use our local talents wisely. Even when you teach all Filipinos but will not change the culture, nothing good will happen. Remember, there are hundreds of thousands of unemployed nurses and some of them are working in BPO because they have no choice. Education is just part of the problem. Culture is the biggest.

Filipinos when speaking English at times call it a "nosebleed" because they still struggle with grammar because they are not native speakers. We can't say they are speaking Filipino English because there is no such thing but only English. Those who speak well like a native English speaker had to practice years before they could pronounce the words correctly.

Hi po, just want to share that English is included po sa Korean education curriculum. They actually start learning in elementary. Pero di po katulad natin dito sa Pilipinas, ginagamit po natin ang English sa halos lahat ng bagay. In Korea, the only chance they get to use English is when they talk to foreigners, business, etc. Wala po sila masyadong practice kaya di nila maapply yung natutunan nila from school. But now, students have a lot of access to foreign and local trainings kaya you can pretty much expect a lot of younger generation na matatas mag English. :)

Insecure kayo masyado, maybe bc you can't try to improve your accent. Too much crab mentality just bc you can't do or try as much as she can to improve how she sounds like. FYI, you won't do well in ESL teaching or English teaching if you cannot better your accent, it is a package in ESL or BPO industry to have better accent, your coach might even tell you to fake your accent just to sound native English speaker. And FYI, foreigners won't notice trying hard accent, it's only you bunch of uncivilized people.
