Going back and watching older South Park eps is like a trip back in time to see how we got to this moment culturally, I highly suggest doing that, you'll see things you might have missed before. The genius of South Park, and also some of the frustration mentioned here, is that they ALWAYS slam both sides so they can't be accused of anything - but also, possibly to show us what we have in common which can open things up for dialogue. If you only slam one side you come off sounding preachy, shut down the conversation and lose the opportunity for a bit of self reflection. Matt and Trey have always said that as long as everyone is fair game then everything is fair game. It's everyone or no one in terms of the comedy.

South Park really should have commentated on the Gina Carano situation with KK and show how ignorant KK truly is as a person. Also how Mary sue female characters don't work. Yeah but Black Panther isn’t a good target for this criticism. It’s not “replacing” anyone with diverse characters for the sake of it. It’s supposed to be about an African country, populated by (surprise) black people. And it is. In terms of diversity and inclusion, it’s win. It’s not pandering, and it expanded the MCU with a fantastic movie and great characters that happened to be black.

I'm so glad shows like South Park still exist. An elephant in the room: celebs like Zegler, the Kardashians alongside with these 'insta-fame-vain' people should've never been celebrated in the first place. An over privileged douchebags already famous, being promoted even further by other over privileged companies like Vogue, GQ, Jimmy Fallons of the world etc. 'look what's in my purse a brand new iPhone' That level of vanity is obscene. The same people who, back in the day, considered anyone who was computer savvy or a gamer, or had a Myspace profile to be 'a loser'. Before they started to use these platforms to make money and share their vanity with the world and destroy self-esteem of others. I have a voice acting background and remember fighting preconceived notions that it's not as demanding as regular acting; but the vocal training itself and perfecting the craft may take more time than any acting school. Rich adult pretenders driving past tent cities triggered me lol California's governor has "spent" billion dollars annually since 2018 to address a homeless population that is well under 200 thousand people (and growing). ... easily enough to give every single one of them over 70 thousand dollars a year! 40k more than minimum wage at 40hrs a week! 30K more as of 2024! so... WTF! where's the money? Note: this would put homeless in California's 6th tax bracket, so they'd have to pay back $6510 each (1B 3.2M in new CA tax revenue lol) Note: this would put homeless in Federal Gov 3rd bracket at 22%, so an additional $15400 each (nice little 3B 80M in extra Fed tax too) Still, after the devil's cut they'd still be getting 100% "free" money... so where is it?

I think Call me Chato had a good take. I don't mind them taking aim at our side but I think they missed the target representing the complaints about what's been going on in Disney and went soft on KK.

The Discovery Channel had a parody week a long time ago where fans would do funny spoofs of their shows and they would broadcast them around the shows they were parodying. The host for this was Mike Rowe, and the conclusion of the opening speech was "Any organization that can't make fun at itself shouldn't be taken seriously."

I agree but she did not need to be. She could have just kept what George and Steven had going. There is enough credit for everyone. Instead she embraced her personal insanity and ruined everything. Now whenever an established franchise is ruined it will known as 'pulling a Kennedy.'

This South Park episode was EXACTLY the wake-up call this world needed. It's a start, perhaps showing the ordinary viewer, as to what the hell is going wrong in the entertainment industry. Kathleen Kennedy is a narcissistic sociopath who deserves to be nominated as the head of Hollywood Hall of Shame! Period.

Bro what? How did you guys not see that the southpark episode was woke AF... sure it took a few shot's at Kathleen Kennedy, but the final conclusion of the episode was the 'mUh eViL rAcIsTs' (which they would consider all of us here) are the ones who forced poor kathleen kennedy to make bad movies, because we're so mean and racist.
