Give them some slack honestly. They wanted to try something new and they did. Is it as good as their previous two games? No, but that’s ok because it’s in its own genre. I personally enjoy Snow Day and plus! They did say it’s a “live service” game. So we’ll get more content added to the game in the near future. Lastly, everyone need to stop comparing Snow Day to their previous two games. I get it but this one isn’t a TB game like the last two. Snow Day is an action game and it’s 3D.

And the themes are endless. What if they literally continued the story from FbW and made new kid into a villain. Some guy said that Snow Day would be slightly better if it was Vikings themed and I agree. We could have a zombie apocalypse or something dystopian. We could have Star Wars, Steampunk or anything futuristic. The possibilities are endless when it comes to South Park RPGs.

The reason the other 2 games were so good is because South Park Digital Studios LLC Co developed it and the creators of southpark even said that they were sick of southpark games being shit so they wanted to do it themselves and this game was developed by a totally different studio that's why I was worried about it as soon as I heard that fact

They should have gone full Dynasty Warriors with this one. Big absurd powers and hordes of enemies swarming you. They could have done it in the style from the episode where the boys play with weapons. Add some diversity to the combat by having hordes of homeless people or Crab People.

For some reason people love to over exaggerate how bad it was like there was her*in needles all over the floor, it was cafeteria Mexican that would give people the runs n stuff, there was a couple things on the menu like the sopapillas and such that where still good, and people wouldn't only go for the SP episode thats such an idiotic statement, loads of people went with kids or people visiting because of the unique performance experience you get while eating. It's also still not good now lol it's slightly better quality mexican food but still basically cafeteria style and they barely renovated.

I used to go to casa Bonita on field trips during summer daycare in elementary school. I guess they cleaned it up when we came cause although the food sucked. The arcade always worked and it didn't smell like sewage. This was 20 years ago though

It just feels like people only dislike this game because it's 3D and not an RPG. The game is constantly getting compared to the first two games when it's obviously not trying to be like the first two games. Tbh, I hope Matt & Trey make more 3D South Park games in the future. I would love a South Park version of The Simpsons Hit & Run and a new kart racer that's better than South Park Rally. I'm not really into RPGs. The genre is boring asf to me. They should definitely still do the 2D RPGs since most South Park fans love them, but having 3D games tackling other genres on the side wouldn't hurt.

No, I agree with you. I do believe he was unnecessarily aggressive, especially after the preview they did was positive and they had an interview and a game play session with the creators. It's one thing to just not like the game but to give it a three and then badmouth it the whole review using every bad name that they could call it if you pulled out a dictionary. I think it's kind of disrespectful. It's one thing that just not like the game and that's okay. I don't think it's a three by watching all the other reviews. Just my opinion, but why not just have made a 2D side scrolling beat em up? Wouldve been around the same price & wouldve retained that 2D look people already loved , would've still had 4 player brawler co op & could've had a rougue lite survival mode & it wouldnt have had to be super long but still could've have replay value , tmnt shredder's revenge, streets of rage 4 , river city girl games etc are popular enough to where it could've worked out probably better than this

Stick of Truth/But Hole made me feel like i was in the show, the visual style was that good! The art style or the gameplay change itself isn't what made the game not good. Also graphics being the way it is isn't the problem. It being a bad game is the problem. It could have changed art style and gameplay and if it was fun people would like it. And if they made this game this bad, then it goes to show that even if this studio worked on a game like the other 2, it still wouldn't be good. People assume way too much. Like thinking just copying the previous games without changing anything will make a good sequal. It won't. The studio is clearly not the same one. Trey and Matt apparently started up their own South Park games studio and this was their first project with that studio. It is what it is.

Agter watching a bunch of reviews and playing the game (and admittedly returning it) what Ive deduced is this: Its a south park skinned button smasher with some light strategy. Ive seen where its been said Matt and Trey like different styles of games. One more of a button masher story driven game and one more rpgs and strategy based games. I think the first game (SoT) was important to go with a purely winning strategy in order to avoid another gag release people just made fun of. Matt and Trey couldnt put TOO much of their own personal touch on it outside of the writing and had to let the game guys make it work. It went so well it opened up the door for a second with more money behind it. The more fleshed out 2nd game reflected that. It had more of their personal touch to it and had the rpg and strategy playstyle one of them wanted. It also went over very well. I think the series is literally just to a point to where they could take a chance and real self service a game the OTHER really wanted with that beat em up button smash type of play with some minor strategy still involved. They've already made their money and if the game hits, cool. If not, the rpg strategy guy says, "see. Told you." Idr which is which in what they prefer, but if you think Matt Stone and Trey Parker are above making two different games to settle a debate on which style is "better", ya'll really dont know south park at all. 😅😅

Got it on the Switch.... This is the one time I had to agree with a review from IGN. Got it for PC and Switch. Play combat definitely feels unpolished, there's enemies that can hit you so hard that you go flying outside the map and could be completely stuck. The only powers that are useful are the fart jump ability and the barrier because I love areas you're going to have to deal with people shooting at you from range. Your damage never feels like it's getting better, enemies get to play more cards than you and one part has you run from a flaming vehicle while you have to try to fight off all the enemies and unlock a door which wouldn't be so bad if the vehicle wasn't moving so fast. Sadly, this game is pretty bad even without the South Park humor and story.

This game baffled me, so going through the prerelease footage this game was mostly designed by Matt Stone without Trey Parker not because he was busy with Casa Bonita but because Trey loves RPGs but Matt loves Hack and Slash games so Trey let Matt take a stab at his idea for a video game. I hate the "it's just $30" argument too. There are so many awesome games that are always on sale for under $20, why there are so many fanboys defending an "it's fun with friends... Kinda" type of game. I mean the Yakuza games or the early Borderlands games (pre-sequel and before) have more irreverence than this South Park game... I hope Trey takes the reins for the next game.

The difference in quality of the game's say what you want about Ubisoft but the last 2 game's was Ubisoft and now Snow day is THQ BUT PERSONALLY I JUST HAVEN'T FOUND SOUTH PARK FUNNY ANYMORE IN YEAR'S PROBABLY EVER SINCE THEY WENT FROM EPISODIC TO SEASONAL ARK AND JUST FEELS LIKE SOUTH PARK HAS GONE ON TO LONG PAST IT'S LIFE SHOULD CANCEL IT

Sad....Stick of Truth and Fracture But Whole are genuinely phenomenal games. It's very paper mario esq going in a completely different direction. Only difference is Super Paper Mario is at least a good game.

I get its not an RPG like people wanted. But lets stop rating it like the rpg we wanted and shit on kt for not being that and objectively look at it. Feels like tommant reviews were to held up on the "woulda couldas" and not on what they had in front of them. for 30$ it's not bad. Its probably going to get better with DLCs as well.
