I work at a family homeless shelter, and the immigrants that we have are not willing to work or keep their living space clean. All they do is complain and want everything for free, Self entitled. The men are very aggressive and we very little support. The resources that we provide them to apply for legal working papers and jobs they never follow up. The children go to free daycare and the adults are in the shelter all day, or going to Macy's. This decision wasn't thought through

The United States is actually obligated to provide shelter for immigrants as part of the 1951 UN Convention. Harry Truman originally did not sign it but Lyndon Johnson did in 1968 therefore binding the US to the terms. This is out of mayor Johnson’s control because it’s international law.
