This is my standard poodle exactly! Resource guards me (mum) and to a lesser extent dad too. I do all of this with him. He did improve but then has hit his adolescent phase (he's 11 months old) I am persevering and will work him through it. I will not give up on him 😊

My 2 year old German Shepherd resource guards me. This past weekend he had a go at my husband because my husband handed me something. So the resources guarding has escalated. I now will not allow my doing our bedroom and I’ve explained to my husband that he must do more for the dog instead of me doing everything for him. I am going to get my husband to feed our dog in the evenings too. My husband works long hours and is sometimes away so I think this adds to the problem. Therefore I cannot allow our dog to sleep in our room any more. Any other advice would be very helpful

My labrador does suspicion growls exactly like that, identical sound. I'm seeing a trainer monthly at the moment, making progress slowly! Thanks to all dog trainers out there for doing what you do ❤
