Southern Ohio Hill Country - Peak Rut Road Trip

In this video I travel on down to Ohio to hunt the public hills with my good friends Jake Bush and Drew Emington. This week was a race against time to put one on the ground. With multiple big buck encounters, grunting, chasing, and heart-pounding encounters, this video is action-packed start to finish.

Man I live in Ohio and appreciate you not lowering your standards for clicks I see so many guys taking 2 1/2 year old s for clicks and we do have a low deer density and it's a lot of work to get one a decent buck great job!

Jacob, I really give you credit. Recently at the Wisconsin sport show I saw you Dan Mario and all the other guys I wish I would have talked to you when I had the chance. Your video and story telling skills are amazing and are only going to get better with time. I’m a younger guy like yourself I’m only 20 years old and at the end of the video I damn near started tearing up, because people the same age as me don’t have the same dream and passion that I do and coming from a family who doesn’t understand the work or the art of bowhunting you really touch a lot of the young guys out there that find out who you are.

I grew up in Stryker (northwest)Ohio in the 80s. Moved to southwest Michigan in 86 at the age of 9. Started hunting whitetail in 1999. Ive always thought about maybe going back and scouting any public near Stryker 🤔🦌

I call this the peak because on November 1st there was the most travel many of the friends I have in Ohio had seen in over 5 years. It’s peak breeding then but the travel was insane for a couple days when I was there
