Southern Pacific 2472 On The Niles Canyon Railway

From 2008 to 2015, the Golden Gate Railroad Museum operated Southern Pacific P8 Class 4-6-2 2472 on the Pacific Locomotive Association's Niles Canyon Railway. This video showcases those years of operation for the 2472 between Niles and Sunol. Hear the SP 6-Chime whistle echoing off the walls of the canyon as the locomotive looks right at home on this part of the original Transcontinental Railroad. I used to climb and crawl all over this engine and the western Pacific passenger cars that were with it when I was a little kid. It never said southern Pacific lines, just southern Pacific. I always wanted to see that engine run again.

Wrong engine that was 2467 in Oakland, that engine is now in Sacramento, 2472 used to be at the San Mateo County fairgrounds

That silver SP observation car bares a striking resemblance to the one pulled by the Cotton Belt 819 back in 1988. Would anyone happen to know if it's the same one, or is this just a happy coincidence?
