I love how the layout switches between DC and DCC. I have a number of old DC locomotives that were my grandpa's I want to keep as such, but also want to start working in DCC, so its great to see a layout that accommodates both

Business has been rough as a small business owner and this has been my worst week in months and it can’t get any worse. I’ve not been able to afford even the smallest amount of a budget to at least get the first of my three decks finally running and have been scrolling most the day just trying to find steam layouts to admire. Thank you for uploading and sharing

I model the Gulf coast Lines (st.L.B.&M) (mopac) and one branch line is served by the SP earlier ops by the Great Houston and San Antonio. Coastal Texas. The SP branch lines main commodity is a shrimp/fish/oyster house where the first shrimp load rail car was ever exported in the entire world. I have three bay wharfs and two seafood fish houses that are rail served, the other main freight is cotton and livestock. All small steam as most of the trains ran are powered by 4-4-0’s one operated until 1946 before crashing.
