With my roots in Baltimore, I was attracted to this video. As so many others have commented, this is an absolutely fantastic layout, not only in its very detailed scenery, but even more so in its operational electronics - an incredible work of skill and ingenuity. Your video barely scratches the surface, I'm sure. It would be a real thrill to be able to operate on this layout. Thank you for producing and sharing this brief glimpse of such a beautiful layout.

This is a great video, not just to show us the incredible scenery and operations, but also some explanations of operations and staging and a glimpse behind the curtain for electronics. It shows the teamwork that is required for a very successful and popular layout. My thanks to David Parks and his memory, his wife's memory, and to all the hard working and dedicated crew.

Fantastic layout - and a great video of it ... that only scratches the surface. Thanks for your vision, David.

My dad's grandfathers both lived in Cumberland MD, and both worked for the rail lines in the region. His maternal grandfather was a senior B&O engineer, and ended up running the Capitol Limited up sand patch grade, and died prior to diesleisation. His paternal grandfather worked for 2 Western Maryland predessesor roads, first the West Virgina Central and Pittsburg as a fireman,, then the Georges Creek and Cumberland, as a brakeman and conductor.

I had the opportunity to attend an op-session at Dave's in 2011, and yes Leo was in charge of staging then. I got to see Dave again at the Orlando convention. This is a fantastic operation layout with many unique features. The artistry of the backdrop paintings and other electronics. For example, there's a car scale simulation by Boulder Electronics the creates a job to weigh cars for a train to determine the amount of locomotive power needed. How many layouts do that? Great job to Leo, Dave, and all involved.

This is an amazing layout that is really faithful to the prototype rail lines! Being a Baltimore native, I'm very familiar with the area this layout is set in, having ridden excursion trains on both the B&O and WM back in the mid-1960s to mid-1970s from Baltimore to Cumberland, Oakland, and Elkins.

I live in Wisconsin but East coast railroads have always been my favorite. I model the New York Central. This was a fun video to watch and everything about the design and electronics is first rate. I hope you will do a video of operations in the future..

I really enjoyed the video and the layout is the total package. I really enjoyed the tech aspects of the layout. Any reason David Parks was not in the video? Thanks.
