- 28oz Frozen Butter/ Lima Beans
- 1 Pkg Smoked Turkey Necks
- 1 Small Yellow Onion, Diced
- 1 Small Bell Pepper, Diced
- 8 Cups Water (May sub for broth if not using base)
- 1 to 2 Tsp BTB Chicken Base (May sub for cubes)
- 1 Tsp Black Pepper
- 1 Tsp Onion Powder
- 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 Tsp Seasoned Salt
- 1/4 Tsp Crushed Red Pepper (Optional)
CORNBREAD:
- 2 Cups Cornmeal Mix
- 1 Large Egg
-1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil
- 1 1/3 Cup Milk
- 1 Tbsp Butter + 2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil for Frying

I love your cooking. I live in Texas and worked in Waco as a butcher for HEB. I retired and moved back home and I miss my favorite soul food, southern cooking diner, whatever you want to call it. I call it the home of the amazing food. I was a storm chaser for 20 yrs and the weather that we are seeing is not just changed, it's bizarre. Climate change my ass. Why turkey necks as opposed to turkey legs or wings or drumsticks or whatever else hammocks??? I’m a Yankee don’t mind me but I’m just curious what’s up?

It's truly just a personal preference! I love turkey eating turkey necks while with wings, I usually have to fight with bone shards which can be annoying! The legs take much longer to cook down which is also a con for me.
