Here is another Chinese trying to tell the Tibetan way of life on their behalf. This is analogous to a Tibetan proverb “when the Rooster is absent, the donkey takes it place”. So let me tell Share my share here. The piles of stones which has mantras crafted on it that u see in ruins happened when the communist red army came and force people to destroy it or they will be shot on the spot. This western part of Tibet is the main gate when Buddhism first transmitted into Tibet from India. Guru-Rinpoche, Atisha and many other great teachers of Tibetan Buddhism travelled through this region to transmit their teachings to the Tibetan people. The old man shouting Hails to communist Chinese leaders is a flesh back to the old memory when all the destruction and demolition was carried out. He was doing it out fear when he see a Chinese man out of nowhere again in his life. His deformed fingers were the result of spending decades in the Chinese labor camp from 1959 and specially during the cultural revolution.

I do enjoy the videos from JJW TRAVEL as I've been to Tibet 4x but never got the chance to go to the people to see first hand the daily live style and their true culture ... During one of the trips to Tibet ... I do know my tour guide is anti-China/Chinese for he didn't liked what the China govt. did ... I do agree with him for the 3rd trip when I visited Tibet, I was shocked to see Potala Palace totally without the lake and look so commercialised and stalls everywhere ... like in some villages I've visited in China. Tibet lost alot of its identity after China moved in but the GOOD THING for me is lots of good roads and I can receive my messages on my mobile anywhere I am in Tibet ...
