WOW! My God, what an amazing band! The drive and the energy, coupled with all of the high stepping and precision drilling, was absolutely incredible to see! Honestly, this is the best collegiate marching band I've seen in my entire life, and I've seen plenty of different bands! I love how the Southern band has capitalized by adding the usage of a simple plume, as a flash feature, into their marching style. That was a pretty clever idea. Also, love the instrument raising as well. Who would've thought to do something like that? Obviously someone who wanted Southern to be different from the rest of the bands. The song selections were outstanding! They blended so well with all that energy, and all of the high stepping marching that was going on. I was so into that show! My eyes were glued! I could watch this band drill the field all day long. They're truly that good to me. This was a rare treat! Hattiesburg truly enjoyed the Southern Human Jukebox marching band! We hope to see this amazing band again.

Yes Southern University Human Jukebox is truly the best. This band is over 60 years in the making. There's actually a documentary about the band and its founder, Dr. Isaac Gregs. 💙💛💙💛

I've read through these comments and it's refreshing to see others opinions on southern university and other HBCU bands. I guess we are so use to southern that we take for granted their style and sound while others stand in awe... Great job SU 💙💛💙💛

When the Juke Box is doing the mid-field part of the show, you can hear a white guy saying “dats a marching band right dere.” LOL...white people. LOL Although I am a graduate of the best university this side of HEAVEN, yes, THE JACKSON STATE UNIVERSITY, and will ALWAYS be a tiger and Boom supporter, I have to give SU their due, great show, and I have ALWAYS admired their sousaphone line (yes, I said SOU-SA-PHONE. What of it?). LOL Those tubas players BLOW their asses off. Every since I was introduced to the Juke Box in the 80s, that band has always had an impeccably strong tuba-ahmmmm, sousaphone-section. The sound is so distinct and clear. Hats off! 😁
