I’m the Treasurer of my neighborhood HOA this year and I can tell you a community pool will absolutely be the most expensive thing you could add to your neighborhood and budget. We spend the bulk of our member dues on ours every year and people do not take care of it. There have been many people propose that it be covered up and a playground for the children be built in its place, but then you have Board Members who swear that us having a community pool is a draw for our neighborhood. It’s nothing but a money-draw and headache five months out of each year.

Fruit-producing Cherry trees are most found in Washington and California (in the states), so I’m guessing (allegedly) that’s why Joe mentioned it (to be fancy) but like also it’s common for online plant nurseries or nurseries in general to ship/transport inventory. Majority of nurseries don’t grow their own product and get it through a third-party grower, so they’d have to be shipped regardless. So it’s not that special. It’s pretty typical, especially if the tree was small when he planted his (small enough ones are just shipped in big cardboard boxes). Anyway, hope the trees are nice. They sound pretty and curious if they produce cherries or are the other kind of cherry

Toots sounds like a Chinese Crested or a Xolocuintl. I call them ugly cute. You wouldn’t believe what I’m paying to have my dogs go to the sitter when I go on vacation. It’s more than it cost for my hotel and airfare. And I don’t brag about the cost of things. Pretty pissed that Joe would leave them alone at the house. You’re a saint for taking care of them.

I’m from Washington State. We do have a lot of cherry trees. Pink and white. They are really pretty in the spring. As far as I know they aren’t particularly special. They just like to grow here. We do Apples here really well. Kinda like Georgia is known for growing peaches. As far as I know we are the only state that grows Rainier Cherries. I suppose that could be what he was talking about. But I think they are only Rainier Cherries IF they are grown in Washington. But I’m not entirely sure. They are very good and very pretty.

I have wondered from time to time how the HOA board thing going ? A relative was on a HOA he found to be power crazy and not serving the community as he thought the bylaws indicated. His HOA was too militant and then the accountant person got mad and held some HOA money kind of like, for ransom. Anyway he got out early because his employment to offer him a new position in a nearby town - lol.

My previous downstairs neighbor was a chronic complainer. Night I moved in, she came up & told me I moved in too loud 🤣😭 Then talked shit on all other neighbors 🚩Business across the street put in a new HVAC, she complained that a blue label on the rooftop unit was an eyesore, ruining her view. Raised hell about it for ages until they called the cops for harassment. The HVAC didn't ruin get view, just a small blue circle. I caught her with her nose *literally* under a neighbor's door because she thought she smelled incense, and incense is not only pollution, it means they do drugs. One building manager even shoved her cuz she was physically up in his face and poking his chest over a mild humming sound in her apt that turned out to be from her not closing the balcony door all the way! She was 70!! Tried to go head to head with me, but I won and she moved 🤣 People can be so wild!
