I can relate with you Mary. I was 17 and a senior in high school. My stalker was my dad's lifelong older friend. He showed up one day. He went as far as to move directly across my parents house. He was constantly at my house. He tried to buy me off with gifts and money. His intention was to marry me in his twisted mind. My mom confronted him, told him off, and gave him back all the gifts. Eventually he left. That was a scary time for me. Take care Mary and God bless.

I was the one with the bathing suit mishap on Holden Beach😂 I had so much respect for you to take the time to send me all those beautiful clothes and jewelry, but hearing this story made me even more grateful for everything you do! My mom and I have both had a stalker. Hers stalked us from when I was 4 until I was 17. Luckily my stalker was much more relaxed and gave up after about a year. One of my friends has a stalker right now too. It can really happen to anyone. Just takes being in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong person. All three of us also have little friends :) Really glad you got out of your situation without anything beyond the torment happening

This makes me so angry! Some people dare to think they can violate others mentally. Just because someone does not touch you does not mean cannot passively cause trauma. That is horrifying! I run a women's group and this is a common occurrence with women and sometimes hard to prove.

Oh my goodness, Miss Mary. I have followed you for a very long time on both of your channels, and I have heard you speak of your stalker several times, but I had no idea how horrifying this was. This was literally like watching some kind of movie, but it was real life. Like one of the commentor said, I audibly gasped just now while I was making my breakfast, when you mentioned the part about the 18th floor and where are you parked and your son’s school. That just sent chills up my spine. I never had a stalker to this degree, but I did have an ex-boyfriend back in the 90s who stalked me for several months. He stalked me and my new boyfriend at that time. It was terrifying needless to say. I also have a little friend. He goes with me everywhere. My husband also has a little friend. And we have several bigger friends that we have at home in case people get any “ideas”. You were very smart in the way that you handled it. And I am so happy that this ended for you and in a positive way. Your comment about situational awareness is so spot on and more young people, and even older people, need to hear it, and really pay attention. Especially women nowadays. Thank you for sharing something that is so important but also so personal. I know that couldn’t have been easy. Well, I do hope you have a wonderful rest of your weekend! 😊

That's very freaky. Glad the Stalker is gone... and for the record, the cup holder videos don't bother me. I am usually cleaning or doing housework while listening to your videos anyways, so I'm not sitting and watching the screen. I definitely now have more understanding on why you are so cautious on people knowing your whereabouts.

That's so frightening! I used to go to a local hairdressers and one afternoon I had a hand posted letter come through my door. The hairdressers helper had followed me home and wrote me a letter saying "could we have a relationship or be friends and that she just wanted to be in my life" I was 18 years old and she was roughly 40 and to be honest it was unnerving. I changed hairdressers and thankfully I didn't get any more letters.

oh my god, this was horrible to listen to, so glad you no longer have to deal with that guy. I've never been stalked, thank god, but I had my email account hacked recently and knew because I got a mail from myself that I knew I hadn't sent and even though I immediately changed all passwords and have a vpn now to keep me protected, this isn't something you forget easily. having your information just like that in some stranger's hands is terrifying

Wow that story is so scary Mary! Made me think of the time when I was back in college and attending night classes. I also had a work study job on campus. This guy who came in everyday would stop and speak to me. He just gave me a very creepy vibe so I was always very short with him or I’d try to hide when I knew he was coming in. One day he asked for my number. He was very persistent so I gave him some made up number. Well somehow he found out where I went to church and showed up the following Sunday and sat down right between my brother and I in the church Pugh. He looks at me and says “you know that wasn’t very nice of you giving me that made up phone number.” Then he gets up and walks out. The following week I attended one of my night classes at the college and he shows up outside of the classroom and asks if he could get a ride home from me after my class? I started making up all these excuses and telling him it was a 5 hour class (which it was) as I figured he wouldn’t want to wait that long. Well when class was over 5 hours later, I walk out and find him still there waiting on me in the lobby. He had fallen asleep in one of the chairs so I try to sneak out as quickly as possible and get to my car. Well with all the noise of everyone leaving the class he wakes up and I’m halfway to my car when I hear him running behind me calling my name. He follows me all the way to my car in this dark parking lot still asking me to drive him home. I lie to him saying it’s not even my car and that I can’t. He’s still trying to beg and plead with me and was getting closer and closer to my car when I finally just got in, closed and locked the door quickly behind me and sped off. I was paranoid the whole drive home. Luckily he just kind of disappeared and I never heard from or saw him ever again. So I understand that fear all too well. That was over 20 years ago and it still haunts me just like it was yesterday and I still remember every detail of his face. I’m so glad your stalker has left you alone. No one should have to go through that and live through that fear.

DAMN!!!! Mary, I am so sorry that, you went through this. And having a friend like yours, THAT, IS HOW YOU GET IT DONE.👍😍👍 You handled the situation beautifully. So proud of you for that. I'm 55, and still dealing with PTSD, from a time, when I was attacked, in my 20's. The counseling I received back then, was amazing. But, never thought, I'd still be experiencing PTSD, so many years later. My point is, PTSD IS VERY REAL, and can be a son of a bitch to experience. PLEASE, if you have time, talk to a therapist or counselor about what you went through. Even if it's one of those online ones. It will help, I promise you.❤️☮️✨

omg, I'm so sorry that you experienced such horrible events and I want to say that, unlike "Hollywood A-listers", you are the person people should look up to. Thank you for sharing your story! I'd also want to emphasize on the importance of being aware of your surroundings. While I was walking home I looked back and noticed a strange man so I stopped to see if he would move on calmly but no, he stopped and obviously wanted to do something. I thought he wanted to steal my laptop cause you may tell that the case I held was for the laptop. I also held a lot of other stuff like groceries and clothes. But who knows, he may have wanted to do something else too. So I screamed (although not loudly enough it seems to me now, because of shock) and started to run away by the stairs which scared him away. Although I fell pretty badly on my knee that day, I'm glad that I looked back. Now I don't wear the case where you can see that it's a laptop but trying to bring it in my usual bag.

I am so sorry that happened. I would consider myself a content creator. I post on TikTok. When I was younger like my teen years, my parents would always tell me to be careful what I post. Me being a teenager would look at them funny. Now that I am in my mid twenties, I understand the importance of being cautious. I have my own dress code when it comes to posting. I don’t wear any shirts from the schools that I went to and I don’t post any videos/photos of the outside of my house. People are crazy and I still live with my parents, so I have to be extra careful because not only is it my life, but my family’s life as well.

Oh gosh, how creepy! I’m so glad the police in his state went to talk with him. It’s crazy that there are people like that. I almost had one of those until I mentioned I also have a little friend and I’m quite conservative, so is my bf, and we both know a lot about how little friends work. This was 4 years ago. I’m glad you took and continue to take the right steps. The VS guy is lost. We enjoy listening to your content because it’s an escape from our crazy and lost world. It’s also important for everyone to know the precautionary steps to take when dealing with someone crazy so this video I’m sure has helped at least one person (which is amazing). It doesn’t make anyone a bad person to take those steps. We are happy you and your family are safe! As for Hollywood, gosh, I agree 😂 I’m a millennial and I used to follow so many Hollywood A-Listers, until they lectured everyday Americans. The fascination with narcissists and hypocrites who happen to be famous is mind-boggling.

This happened to my aunt but in the 80's, she was in her 20s and it was a down the street neighbor. She had hung laundry, and he would steal her intimates out of the laundry room. He found out when she came home from work and her routine, he would wait for her outside her apartment. He found out what gym classes she was taking and would show up there randomly. Cops did nothing because in the 80s, they didn't take that stuff seriously it got so bad that she eventually had to move. She moved most of her stuff in the night so he was less likely to follow her to the new apartment. She was living in fear for a few years after hoping he wouldn't show up. I'm so sorry this happened to you, but yes, it can happen to anyone.

Maybe unrelated, but sometimes when I hear men saying "omg my ex was a psycho!!" cause she was jealous or something, i think about how most of us go through things like this and barely anyone knows/we dont talk about it cause the acknowledgment might make the situation even worse.

When I was in college, I had a friend who had a stalker and he was so very creepy - he would always be somewhere in view of her on campus. Even when she was telling us about him, she could point to where he was always standing back somewhere staring and smiling if she’d look EVEN when she’d cuss and be loudly telling us what a creep he was. I kept thinking she’d end up on Dateline, he would NOT go away & what could you do at school - campus was free rein for all.

I have a similar situation. Mine was a girlfriend of my ex husband. He broke up with me her and she was convinced we were getting back together even though I was remarried. She would call my husband at his work to tell him I was cheating on him with my ex. She called our home at 2 am multiple times to say I was out with him. My husband would wake me and have me tell her I was home sleeping. She knew where I worked because my ex must have told her. I was a physician assistant at an OBGY in office. She made an appointment with my doctor! I talked and talked to my ex for him to get it through to her we were not together but his reply was always the same. “ he left her because she’s crazy jealous and would call his work throughout the day to make sure he was there. I told her the last conversation was going to be the last we had or I would call every authority I could think of. The police, CPS and show them how unstable she was all the way to the FBI if I had too.

As someone with a sketchy Youth and some unnecessary skills left from that (im in Germany, i'm now only doing good things now) i think i know what happend... you worked with a Lawyer doing patent stuff. A Company you where with for years and a lawyer doing really specific field. From there it's googeling who does it in your Town, looking up their employees online, calling around the Departements. He can find you like that. Then looking at recent sells he can see what house you bought, google alerts when your name/street/email adress pops up, with knowing the mail adress connected to your YT he can find the AD. It's way to easy in the States. He might also hired a P.I. to look into you/follow you. Take care of yourself. There are classes for that too

I appreciate that, but talking about them in one video isn't wasting my time. People need to be aware of how common stalkers are for everyday people. If I can help raise awareness of that by talking about it for a little bit, it's not wasted time. Ignoring it and acting like it never happened isn't a good tactic.
