This video is about YD100 Bomber. There is a walk around and a ride. THIS IS NOT A SPEED TEST DEMO! I only go 30 mph. It is a new motor being broken in with a 16:1 ratio. The bike does 30mph at half throttle... will DEFINITELY rock when broken in and running 40:1. Thanks for watching and don’t forget to like and subscribe!!!! Thanks.

Nice looking bike, and good job motorizing it, looks professional. I am in the process of making a CG powered grocery kart with sturmey archer 3 speed hub for transmission. I am disabled and on a limited income, so letting my car go (1987 Chrysler Fifth Avenue) because I just don't have the health and money to keep fixing it up and paying insurance. The kart will get me to the grocery store and back (run on grass, no sidewalk), and then will motorized a Schwinn Sidewinder as a 7 speed (using 24T chain ring only and 34T>12T cassette) motor bike for trips to the doctors and such. At 6,000 rpm speed range will be 22 mph to 56 mph (on paper). I am putting dual disk brakes up front and single disk brake in back. I want to thank you for sharing your experience. I find it very encouraging. Have a good one! FrankyLynn

I'd recommend CNC throttle, dual brake lever, and some ergonomic grips,maybe Magnesium Wheels. But that's a great build, seems like it's still breaking in,there is a new WC80 pipe its a new bolt on exhaust recently released for Gas Kits, or welded a YZ/CR Pipe.

I’ve got the YD100 on a huffy cranbrook ( all stock) and it gets 30 mph no problem. It feels rough at low speeds but runs nice the faster it goes. Well not all stock, it has a cnc hub adapter and sprocket, 40T. I had terrible trouble getting the rag joint sprocket to run true so I thought I’d try a hub adapter and it works perfect just had to put a little lock tite on the bolts. It’s a nice engine and I can definitely tell the difference between it and my stock 66cc Zeda. I just don’t like the way it runs at lower speeds, less than 10 mph or so. It’s very rough choppy feeling till you get past 10-15. Has nice low end torque though. It gets you moving from a stop much easier than a 66/80 engine. Fun engine with lots of room for upgrading.
@SouthernCustomCC
@SouthernCustomCC 4 жыл бұрын
That is a VERY accurate assessment of the YD100. I have noticed that this engine does not ‘lurch’ as much under 10mph after I have skirted the piston. I love the low end torque on this bike, and I am glad you are enjoying yours!

I put the dio reed kit and nitrous kit with a good expansion chamber on mine and it runs great and you should get a good chain tensioner the stock one sucks! Also the top speed will not change! It depends on your tire size and your sprocket size. Whatever they are you will never be able to go faster than that! The more power you add then the faster it will get to the top speed but it won't change

Yd100 has massive piston clip problem. @ about 800miles or riding the piston pin will cut the clips off inside the piston and kill the motor. Every Yd100 has it happen unless you buy like wiseco cw10 piston clips. With that said I rebuilt one of these cause of it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWqTlat9o7KGjbM I ended up using a reed valve and a windowed piston with 20mm carb. The low end take off and top speed are crazy on a yd100 with those. I did it mostly for power. I can start off on a hill without pedaling and climb hills with ease now with a 36tooth sprocket.

What wrist pin clips does it come with? Are they the same as the PK80 or other engines? Or are these clips on this YD100 different altogether than the others? Just wondering if I could just replace with some of the clips I already have laying around.
@BuildBreakFix
@BuildBreakFix 3 жыл бұрын
@@abikelife1481 the "wrist pin" beveled edge in the yd100 cuts the pull tab off the clips like the pk80 uses. Very common! Many people have KZbin videos on it. The motor is great. But the factory clips will wear out fast and fail and the tab will fall off and bounce around causing chaos. It's a 99.9% sure thing. Everyone uses wiseco cw10 clips and this issue is solved. They only cost like 8$. Very easy to change them

You may have an air leak I. The intake or exhaust gasket...or even a compression issue which can be solved by looking at the head, the head gasket and the torque specs of the acorn nuts to 13 ft/lbs. If you have an older PK80 model, you may also have the short rod, low hole piston, closed transfer ports, and smaller 32mm intake port. The newer g4 Zeda off my website are solid.
