Dude that wasn't pretty good, that was freaking epic!!!!! For never doing it, and being out there by yourself, you did as good as anybody could've wanted too. And you know what I'm probably going to say now, man I wish I would've been out there with you. Beautiful Rose Porgy, beautiful Grey Tile, and peanut sandwiches are always great brother. I've been watching your vids slowly for a while, catching up with the older ones, and trying to space them out, so I don't run out of them. Haha, I know that's silly, but there's about 5 or 6 of you guys that I watch, and I try to keep it where there is always a new video to watch from each of you. So I always have something to watch on my down time. Always dreamed of doing this for a living at least par-time, but haven't been able to pull the ripcord on just yet. You never know, maybe one day. Anyways, you keeping doing you Hieko (sorry if I misspelled it), and don't worry about the haters, just focus on the fans, all 10,954 of them!!! I predict you'll be over a 100,000 subs in a year or so, if not sooner. Always trying to keep it on the reeeel. JJG

No worries brother, my pleasure!!! I live in SW Miami, hopefully one day I can drive down and go out with you and slay some fish!! I've used Google Earth as a fishing tool for years, and it's invaluable, to find new spots, fishy looking spots, and even some wrecks.

Great video! I picked up a number of tips, including saving those bellies for bait, and how to fasten the bait using wire ... its the small things that separates those that consistently catch fish, from those who just go out fishing.

Hey you said you were going to Key West to a friend's house to ride bikes. A good way to get inexpensive weights would be to go to antique shops or housewares reuse stores and ask for their window sash weights there use to be and probably still are in some of the windows of some of those old houses in KWest

Heiko, When you deep drop hook your first fish, keep it down there about 15 seconds to get a second fish on. Dropping 160 meters everytime for one fish is hardly worth the time

You had some that were small almost like a little islander where you showed feeding the hook through the live squid then it had a small plastic piece you said to make sure you inserted into the squid, those were the ones I am trying to find.

are you allowed to drink beer on a boat where you live? Also i love those moment when you just keep filming the line going up without really fast skiping it , it add some tension , cause we all wanna know whats gonna be at the end of it! great vid
@SouthFloridaFishingChannel7 жыл бұрын
People on the boat can drink and whoever is driving the boat can drink but only when not operating the vessel. And of course you need to be under the .08 legal limit when you decide to drive the boat again. From personal experience the cops/fwc don't really care about drinking on the boat as long as everyone is 21+ and not doing anything stupid. Thanks for the comment

yes you are right he is catching fish but it pains me to see the little mistakes that keep him from doing so much better and it seems like he really enjoys it and is curious about fishing like I said if he would just pick up one of the books, many books on trolling and rigging that you can get at most tackles doors it would help him a ton

When your deep drop and try laying your rig on the bottom and letting it go completely slack should increase your hook ups. If you watch underwater footage of people deep drop in every time your rig moves the fish spook.

Hey just to give you some idea how much it is tho live in Great Britain🇬🇧 1.30$to the pound£- fuel for boats 1x£ 5.67/gallon equivalent to 1x $ 7.38 per gallon wot you think about dat 👍🏻🇬🇧

aren't you supposed to tie on the jigging spoon with the hooks on top?
@SouthFloridaFishingChannel7 жыл бұрын
yea sometimes I will do it that way, both ways work I guess it's preference. Sometimes I like putting the hook on the bottom so if I hook something with teeth like a kingfish there's a better chance it won't break the line while i'm fighting it.
@baylonaj7 жыл бұрын
That makes sense. The hooks on top are supposed to prevent the jig getting pryed out. Great videos. I'm heading to the keys in Feb. Hope to use some of your techniques.

Random question but what does your boat use for GPH @ cruising speeds? How far do you usually go out and how many gallons do you use? I have a 1980 Anacapri 25ft with 140hp Volvo Diesel I'm almost done fixing/setting up with live wells, coolers, and modern electronics. The old man I bought it from said it used roughly 3 GPH doing 20 mph.
@SouthFloridaFishingChannel7 жыл бұрын
I get around 2.3-2.6 MPG when i'm crusing around 24knots. My tank holds 115gallons so I can go pretty far. A trip like this i'll burn about $150 in gas and another $25 in oil
@MrChronic4117 жыл бұрын
How big is that boat? Kinda hard to tell in video, I see you have a privy under the console so it must be over 21ft

I would advise u to have and epirb on yourself and a life jacket , being by yourself sitting on the rail did u ever think if u fell overboard with the boat in gear what would happen. Be safe and think about what your doing.

That’s why you don’t leave your line out 600 yards away from the boat. Lot of room for error and missing fish
