if you do coils alot imo it super worth it to buy those coils chain protector save time struggles and they last for ever those lil metal sheet one break and bend all the time

One of my viewers said you gave me a shout out so I had to come check it out… Good job on the coil racks. You should also throw some rubber traction mats underneath the racks so they don’t slide as easy, now they do make some bigger racks that are rated at 25,000 pounds each but the little ones like you and I use (and most everybody else) are only 10,000 pounds like you said and I seen a guy get shut down at a scale once and had to call out 2 wreckers to lift the coil up and put more racks underneath it before they would let him leave it’s only a matter of time before DOT does a securement blitz and that’s the kind of stuff they love to find… Well, I’ve never watched any of your videos, but I’ll hit the sub button before I leave, but to be honest, even though I make videos, I don’t really watch any KZbin trucking videos 😂😂 Anyways, drive careful appreciate you Friend

Robert it’s called beveled lumber. Has to be hardwood. I don’t think you need more than 2 coil racks for any weight coil.

Good call on three racks. You should also put the mats under the coil racks for added friction. The fmcsa gives you 50% credit against forward movement.
