The scene where Kyle was in the movie theater was him watching The Passion of the Christ. And yes you are correct. Cartman put him up to it. Only the adults where cheering at the end because it was a reference to the movie You Got Served which when this episode came out, the teens who that movie was for where adults.

I love how everything is from the kids perspective. They do adult things so sometimes we forget. the fact that the immigrants had something To Do with time was probably because the kids hear racist and the kids were thinking there's a races and so you have to be fast and that relates to time. We didn't see the whole episode so we don't know for sure but I bet that's where time came into it.
