A Moorish "sovereign citizen" appeared before Broward County First Appearances Court Judge Hurley during his morning bond court on April 16, 2015, demanding release on his own recognizance so he could take care of his pseudolegal affairs. Hurley ignored his plea, but allowed him to bond out on a $1,500 bond.

+David Snay I have a feelng that wasn't this judge's first time hearing that sort of spiel. The Judge did the right thing in not giving into the argument and simply telling the guy what needed to be done to be released.

$1,500 is super low too he should be happy. That’s $150 through bail bonds. Most of the time they’ll let you out with just a signature of it’s under $5,000.

And you live in a psychotic imaginary fantasy world D Dell. Most sovereigns convince themselves they are somehow more free than others and they somehow know more things that others do not. Much of this likely comes from the fact most of them tend to be the very dregs of society, typically low achievers, very little if any education beyond HS. They sovereign movement gives them a nice way to believe they know more about the law than people with real law degrees, and it allows these dregs of society to convince themselves that driving without licenses, registrations and insurance is all fine and dandy because they read about it on some goofball sovereign website and now they believe they are a legal expert. It's actually quite laughable to listen to the word salad games these buffoons play, as well as the complete lack of understanding of both statutory and common law in a real world sense that these clowns lack. Just take a look at who makes up the vast bulk of the sovereign movement, and its pretty clear it's little more than a new generation of scammers looking to game the system.

You probably went right over its head Mad Pistol with that one as I doubt it thinks on that high a level. Most of these so called "sovereign" clowns including that Daedalx buffoon appear to think that because they can robotically regurgitate a few canned responses and short talking points that makes them experts on the law. And one of their biggest fall backs is always the lovely, "I've done my research" claims... Or the other common one, "If you only understood common law you would know we are correct...."??? If you want some good laughs go look up another sovereign clown on youtube named Kevin Perteete. Kevin has a video posted and believes that the USPS really created zip codes as a government conspiracy to track people by postal zones. He sends all his mail without a zip code and thinks that has taken him "off the grid"??? LMFAO. The entire sovereign bowel movement is inundated with such clowns. But they do make for some good comedy.

You tell him to do research because he called you out on your complete BS, D Dell regarding statutory law. You literally have zero clue what you are babbling about. And just because you believe the law works a certain way because you yourself were indoctrinated by some paranoid sovereign websites does not mean your interpretation of the law is correct. Take your "great" sovereign theories into a US court and see how well they work for you. The sovereign movement is pretty much loaded with 2 types of individuals. Paranoid anti government goofballs, who would believe any Kool aid served to them if it supports their anti government ideology, and the scammers who take advantage of all these Kool aid slurping fools.

Not true. Fundamental constitutional rights apply to all within US borders. Regardless of citizenship. The French tourist who speeds in a rental car and kills four people in an auto crash has all of the fundamental rights in the criminal case brought against him than apply as if he were a US citizen. The only rights which US citizens have which others do not have are the right to vote, the right to hold certain public offices, the right to a US passport (unless disqualified) and the right to the protection and assistance of the US government while out of the US.

I'm a migrant, and my parents would have strung me up alive if I disrespected the nation, and it's people, who gave us refuge. As an adult, I would do the same to my son, even though he was born in the country in which we live in. So I've got no time for this kind of thing. Foreigners/immigrants/'refugees' should consider themselves lucky to be living in nations where they have the right to free speech, association, religion, and a vote --- in how the nations that gave them all that, are run --- not to mention welfare. So, they have no right disrespecting/refusing to acknowledge, and obey the laws of the very lands that gave them all those freedoms, and opportunities in the first place. If it were up to me --- they would be deported, back to where they/their ancestors come from, on their first offence.
