A few days ago I got pulled over by a small town policeman. I have not been pulled over in at least 30 years. What he pulled me over for was he thought the inspection sticker on my trailer should have been the same color as my truck sticker, which was wrong, because they get inspected on different months. As a joke I said I had the right to travel. You should have seen the look on his face. :) I quickly told him I was just kidding and handed him all my paper work. We both had a good laugh and he did not even run my info. Total time for the stop was about 10 min, no window broken, no tow. He told me he got excited when I said right to travel because he was have a boring day and was looking forward to breaking a window. :)

I saw an academic professional interviewed about the SovCit movement and it was her contention that a big cause of the growth in followers is the climbing expense of car ownership in the US. Having a car is damn near a necessity here but the costs keep increasing even though wages are stagnant and people grab on to this as justification for not registering or insuring their vehicle when they can't afford to anyway. I wish I could remember her name. She seemed quite knowledgeable.

Mike, I just subscribed to your channel. Great content! I'm a retired SC State Trooper. I worked the roads for more than 10 years before I ever encountered a "SovCit" who claimed to be a Moorish national with diplomatic immunity. The stop went down hill quick for him after that, lol.

I believe that (as it is in the uk) the lights are initially to alert the driver that he is being pulled over. Secondly the lights are left on for the safety of other drivers and to alert them to the traffic stop.

Hey Mike. The other day Senator John Kennedy was questioning a Judge up for appointment to the federal bench. When he asked her what else she felt the courts needed to addressed. She said “The right to travel.” It went right over everyone’s head. My head exploded.

For a split second there, I thought he was going to slug the officer when he was being arrested! 🤣 As you said, there's something wrong with him, but I can't tell what. I think he needs help, too, in dealing with what he has. It wouldn't surprise me that for medical reasons he shouldn't be out in public alone and he's ignoring that stipulation.

I hate to agree with you, but I think you're right. As I've gotten older, I find myself less willing to associate myself with people on the fringes. Imagine if you're friends with this guy, and you're in his truck; this all goes down, and now you have to find yourself a ride because your friend's a fool. (This happened to me when I was 16 or so, and had to walk 2 miles to go home at 10:30 at night in the middle of winter, back in New York.)

It's a viscous cycle. Gullible people are given bad info that gives them a false sense of confidence. They think that gives them the right to do something stupid They suffer the consequences to that stupid They think that those consequences is just "THEM" tyrannizing people for discovering some hidden truth Pushes them into deeper fringe beliefs

I dont understand why cops go back and forth and back and forth over and over again. Give them 2 or three times, then pull them out and arrest them. What the cops need to say is that they are allowed to travel all they want as long as its not in an unlicensed uninsured vehicle. Travel on a bicycle.
