@Galaxy Boomers X Mikhail Gorbachev wasn't General Secretary at the time, however, he was still a highly ranked official. In terms of Nikolai Ryzhkov, he was a member of the Politburo at the time, but he didn't rise in rank to replace Tikhonov as Chairman of the Council of Ministers until 1985.

There is one mistake that you made. Nikolai ogarkov was ousted from his position 2 months prior to the parade.the man who you think is ogarkov,but isn't,is Sergey Akhromeyev,who was ogarkov's successor.

I kinda prefer 3-stanzas version of anthem more now, i get the point that it is convenient and not time consuming to only play 1 stanza but think about the soldiers sacrificed themselves for the glory of the nation then 2 more minutes are nothing. Nice remastered verson, greetings from Vietnam.
