I dropped a bucket of saw dust on my sv06 plus and have been making attempts to fix all the damage for the last few weeks. I fixed the power supply but would prefer to maintain reliability for long prints. Stock PSU will now sit in the backup drawer 👍. Just placed an order for the MeanWell. Great video, looking forward to checking out your other mods.

I find the power supply fan on the stock 06 plus to always be on 100% and loud, how does this upgraded PS fare in that regard?

I have the LRS-350-24 on my regular SV06 and it's nice and quiet. PSU fan only comes on when it needs to.

What is the voltage output? 12V or 24V. I want to add an LED light bar and need 12 volts for the resistors installed in the bar.

How does the LRS-350-24 handle the draw from SV06 Plus and the Klipper Screen upgrade that Sovol SV06 Plus can get? Since the printer itself draws 13A, that only leaves 1.6A for Klipper Screen to draw from, and its never a good idea to run anything at the rated Amps.

We tested the load (actually say this in the video and show it) and it's well within the specs of the printer. Haven't had a single issue with ours or customers running the meanwell 350w on the plus.

Is the meanwell swap noise quieter or the same due to the form factor?

They are about the same noise level. However the Meanwell is a more reliable PSU. We're not a fan of running knockoff PSUs in the machines as we've had them fail and damage control boards when they do. In over 10 years that we've been using Meanwell, we have yet to have a single one fail. We've sold over 1000 of these over the last 6 years and have only had one need to be replaced.

I would pay just $10 bucks more and get the LRS-450 rated at 18 amps.

Bolt holes on those will not line up and they are like $75 shipped.

That's what I'm going to do. A little headroom is good, also with good brands. PSUs can degrade a bit over their lifetime and cause it to get too close to stable power draw (or even get unstable) during its lifetime.

Is the 350 supposed to run warm ??

Yes, all power supplies get warm when they are used. If it ever gets too hot, the meanwells have over temp protection.

@Timothy Hoogland yes, you are right. I meant RSP-500-24. My friend has an RSP-500-24 which I can get for the same price as a LRS-350-24. I suppose no harm in having the extra overhead.
