thanks for the vid, i had to put my old 3in housing onto the new motor which came with 2.5in housing and worked out great. for some odd reason the 3in old faceplate didnt fit onto the new housing so had to use all the old housing and fit good.

looking at the seals i thought ceramic part when behind the metal seal on the back of the volute. Most new impellers come with the ceramic part preinstalled then ?

Good video but you did not show how to remove the impeller from the shaft I have it all disassembled but I can’t see how to remove it from the shaft is there a set screw? Or is it just pressed on and just need more force to pull it off the shaft thanks Kenny

Hey Spa Guy! My wet end just spit that black piece, I think you called it a separator, right out past the impeller. It locked my impeller right up so it wouldn't function. I disconnected the outlet, reached in there and pulled it out. Now my tub is working but I'm wondering how crucial that part is. Seems to run fine without it but I don't want to damage it further by running it without it. Please advice. Thanks and I really appreciate your videos on both hot tubs and Elvis!

I don't have a parts called a seperator.. If it is the wear ring you must have that.. The only other part is a slinger but that part can't get inside the pump so it is not a slinger..

It could be anything including the bulb.. You have to diagnose it..

What would make a seal start and stop leaking? It leaked when I first got it I bought it used), but stopped. Now two months later I came home and saw water around the base. I opened the panel and there was a steady leak at the wet seal. I turned it on and ran it for a few minutes. It stopped leaking? Now several hours later no leak?

My waterway wet end has a slow drip from the outer part of the waterway where the plugs screw into. I am assuming that it wouldnt be the back seal that needs replacing like your showing in this video. What should i be focusing my attention on?

Hello I have watched several of your videos and they have been very helpful! I have a hot tub that I let sit through the winter and it broke the wet end of my spa pump. The pump says it is a Whirlpool XP LP300 and I am having trouble finding anything in the US and all the parts ship from China. Do you know if an Aquaflo wet end would work on this same pump? Do you know if there is some other type of wet end that will be universal for the LP300?

Do you really need to let dry silicone before reinstalling and starting the pump with the water in?

I have to do this job soon. Today I just switched out pumps but I’m looking to repair my wet end seal. When I popped it off I noticed a small little rubber seal or geomit under the part you knocked out. I feel dumb for asking but do I silicone that over that litter rubber seal. I almost feel like the little black seals job is to seal it up but ya thought I’d ask.
