I went with space black I think it looks lovely and prefer not to have the stark contrast with the keyboard that the silver has, can’t say I’ve noticed any issues with fingerprints I was actually pleasantly surprised that I can pick it up without leaving fingerprints all over it.

I ordered the M4 Pro in silver with 48gb and 2TB & nano texture. It arrives in 3 days! This is my first MacBook Pro so I went with the silver. Just so classic, elegant and timeless. I can see how people who've had silver MacBooks before would want to switch it up and get the Space Black - to each his own. Congrats to everyone on their new machines! 🙂 edit: I chose the 14inch for maximum work-from-anywhere portability.

@@MasterMix291 Good question, the 48GB was key for my use case as a web & app developer. The same 48GB is $1200+tax CAD more with the M4 Max. From what I've read, paying extra for the Max is more appropriate for extensive video editing, 3D design & gaming. 3 things I don't do :-)

For the older Intel models, I liked the space grey, now it's space black. Silver is a little too light and I didn’t see it as having that professional look in general. But it's the classic color. Maybe after using space grey for so long, I just wanted a change in look. Space grey has done a great job after all these years, it's still like new. We'll see how space black holds up. I was drawn to silver, but seeing it in person wasn’t convenient. My mind said silver, but my heart said space black

I get silver because it holds up the best, looks brand new after 4 years but my MacBook before that was also silver. Idk if for my next one I want space black as it smudges a lot

4:38 its illusion, I edited to the same color in Pixelmator pro and its same keyboard color, but silver makes it more contrast look and makes the color darker than it physically is.

I'm going to buy a MacBook pro and for weeks I've been having a war in my head between black and silver. One day I'm convinced that it's black, the next that it's silver. This will be my first Apple product in my life. The silver color has everything I need, but the black has this effect that when working or watching movies, light doesn't reflect what i love. It's a pity that there is no such option as currently in my Dell XPS 15 7590. Silver on the outside and black on the inside. That would solve all my dilemmas :) Today in my head it's more silver, but tomorrow it might be black again :D

An interesting thing about Space Black is that lighting plays a big role. Sometimes it looks like a darker Space Gray, but from a distance, it appears more black. It's an interesting combination. For privacy, people farther away might not notice the Apple logo as clearly, yet it still feels professional and solid. In real-world use, the color you see from behind the laptop versus what others see can vary. An elegant style overall

You are on point. Silver on 16inch looks gigantic and very disproportionate. 16inch in space black makes it appear smaller visually. I have a 16inch space black and i dont even feel it as a 16inch except when I lift it.

I decided that the black looks dirty. You have good lights and it therefor looks like a good grey. Would buy it if it always would look like it. But most of the time it just looks to dark and like other Windows laptops. The silver would be best as a Polarlight silver. A little soft sand/gold shine. For the eye the black is maybe better as it becomes more in the background while watching.

Hey Daniel! I recently swapped the Space Black for the Silver because the Silver has too many pluses over the Space Black for my use case. One thing that stuck out in your video was that the Silver was more reflective than the Space Black, which can be more distracting in prolong use. I do suffer from eye strain, so I specifically chose nano display. How much of a difference is there between the Space Black's immersiveness and Silver's immersiveness? Thanks!

There’s definitely a noticeable immersion difference when using the laptops however, after some time you get used to the silver and it’s not an issue. Just that when switching back and forth there was a noticeable calmness i felt when viewing content and working on the black one. For me personally, that doesn’t make up for dealing with the fingerprints and scratches overtime though as I also use my laptop connected to a monitor pretty often.

They changed the keyboard design. Looking at 4:24, the new keyboard contains much shallower keys. The M1 pro had thicker keys. I much prefer toe M1 pro keyboard, its just firm and better to type on.

Should I get M2 Pro chip with 12‑core CPU and 19‑core GPU 1TB SSD 16GB Ram OR the new M4 Base with 1TB SSD 16GB Ram. I also edit 4K 60 videos a lot. Price is slightly more for the M2 Pro one but I just need the best value for my money. Please help

Hmm, tough choice! Hopefully someone else can chime in too for different opinions but do speakers matter to you? It’s known that the M2 series MacBook has noticeably worse speakers than M1 macbook and M3, M4 so maybe that might play a role in your decision! Both will handle 4K 60 without issue. I’d contemplate if you want the better speakers and battery life that comes with the M4 MacBook. I still recommend M1 Pro though if you can find that cheaper and save you some money.

@@DanielRomeroalthough Im an audiophile but for the MacBook it isn’t a problem, since I mostly use my AirPods Pro 2 while watching something. My only concern is, I use final cut pro so in your opinion can there be a huge performance difference between the two or they will perform mostly likely the same ? Wonder if few extra GPU and CPU matter a lot. The nano texture option on the M4 is something that is really making it hard for me to decide too… Thanks for your reply though!

All of my friends m3 pro macs have visible scratches around the ports, the space black also does not look real "black" it is a darker shade of space grey. my only problem wiht silver is if you like to work in dim light room, or watching a video then you will notice the laptop chasse more than other colors, this is annoying sometimes.
