I think that BC you moved at 39:27 would have reached Oddessy for the 2nd battle jumping through the MS pipeline. It seems like the program doesn't highlight that route. Buying that base would have been huge!

Yes, I was feeling the pressure and I missed that. That said, I don't think I would have had anything left to destroy the 3rd Doomsday Machine after that point...any suggestions on how to improve?

@@LegendaryTactics I am not as brave as you are. I have played this scenario a couple of times in medium only, I think you were playing on hard so my input might not be as valuable. I had great success with a purely BC strategy with full attack and defense tech. I also made sure my BCs could get to any point in my empire with pipeline or move tech in at least two turns. That way I could successfully concentrate my forces when battling the machine. I tried to start building my forces as late as posible but made sure I had enough SY capacity to build about 6-7 BCs in 2 rounds. I also made good use of bases when I could predict where an attack would occur.

I had this problem as well, the trick is to set the number of players (on the right) to 1. Hope that helps.

Is the doomsday machine beatable?

Reportedly. I've seen articles where they say to just build as many battle cruisers as you can and ramp up your attack and defense technology. I've heard that it's beautiful that way, but I've yet to try that out
