For the piston at the beginning i do it, with merge block, there is an attachmnt point on the piston head i use this a lot for my drilling rig

20:20 When you attached a big hinge head to a small hinge base, I think the reason it was off to one side like that is because of the collision with the small blocks the hinge base was mounted to. If you use a 3x3 small hinge base it should work better (and also allow large items to pass through the conveyors)

piston head is 0.16m , since you have 2 of them subtract 0.32 m ( 2 * 0.16 ) from the distance to make it line up before you attach. each large grid block it 2.5m. So to align up with each block distance use 2.18, 4.68, 7.18, or 9.68 to align up with the other head to attach If you don't have build vision on the server side, then using Merge blocks on the piston head to get them to attach.

7:45 the issue is the orientation of the piston and the one of the piston head. Use the control pannel on bought to se the right direction, use the piston ologram to understand

Double hinges are very useful for folding things back on themselves, so that they lay very flat.... Adv rotors and 3x3 rotors are my favourite toys atm.. Adding useful large grid blocks to small ships is pure awesome.. Having some compact blocks on large ships, also dead handy.. :)

Usefum when creating a mainframe or a processing powerful multifunction timer block, hopefully with newer updates such things will be simplified by logic blocks so no more 3/4 blocks to do a simple airlock/lights task

I find it's easier to do hinges in space, just build a small block loose on the backface of the hinge you want connected the other way and bump the block into the hinge, then spam attach as it slides into place. Can be a bit precise or need reattempts but its just a hinge without a center attached, a jetpack, and a small block.

I would have thought pistons would have been the easiest to do.. Piston+head, merge block on the side of the head. Piston+head, merge block on the side of the head. extend one of the pistons.. they merge.. grind the merge block.. done..

Yep, just did it in my world.. SUPER easy.. No build vision, all vanilla. No needing to "place unattached heads" anywhere.. Honestly, the hardest part is making sure you put the merge block on the side of the head and not the side of the piston.. but all you really need to do is extend the piston about 1 metre first, and it's easy then.

You can replace wheels on suspension with rotors, allowing for custom sizes
